Australian tour of India

FFS no way they could do this. They could get around it last year because the monkey thing was literally he said, they said. No real evidence other than player testimony.

However, Gambhir's action was there for all to see. It's indefensible. India was able to play the sympathy card last year, that they were being victimised by Australia and the media, but there's no way they could get any sympathy from the cricket community if they flat out defy the ICC this time.

That said, I hope they do and the ICC grow some balls and a) award the series to Australia, and b) ban India from international cricket for a year.

Guarantee they won't do either.

india are the worst sports team in the world atm. none can come close to their wickedness.

The ICC wont stand up to them because about 80% of cricket revenue comes from India. Thus they wouldnt want to impact on the games financial situation.

Overall he better not play, he clearly changed his line to elbow Watto in the stomach which is definitely not on.

I hope Punter has the balls to refuse to play if the ICC let Gambhir play!! India can play tests amongst themselves and enjoy the IPL with no Aussies.

News is that Krejza will make his debut at the expense of Clark.

I hope I get to eat some humble pie, but F me, White and Krejza in the same team with a pace attack of Lee, Johnson and Sunshine? On a freeway pitch? Time to say a few Hail Marys for Punter before he goes to the toss.

Why would they continue to play White when he doesn't even get a decent bowl anyway?? Fair enough Clark hasn't been at his best this series but it is due to injury not lack of trying. Glad to see Kreza in the side IMO we need to drop white and play 4 front line bowlers.

India will have the first hit.

Bloody hell.

At least Johnson will get the new ball!! The selectors have been off the boil this series.. IMO they have made some massive blunders.

I was hoping to see Bollinger get a run. If Clark isn't fit I reckon the quartet of Lee, Johnson, Bollinger and Krezja would have been the way to go.

Can't believe White is still in the team, as Beads said, he never gets a bowl. Clarke and Katich looked tons more dangerous in the last game anyway.

Looks like another draw..

You're not wrong Beads. Easy being an Australian selector when all you really have to do is pick 1 or 2 decent blokes to compliment Warne and McGrath. Now they have to earn their pay, and needless to say their form has been rusty.

Yep, unless Dhoni puts series victory aside and goes for all out attack to beat the Aussies 2-0. He's an aggressive kinda captain, it could happen...

Yeah more than probable, especially with our sh*thouse bowling line up. India will score very quickly.

That deadset has to be one of the flatest wickets I have ever seen, including one day strips. Not a trace of grass on it at all.

Therefore, Australia has to be tight with line and length, and have to be 100% on the ball in the field and take every chance given.

But you watch Lee and co spray the ball and the fielders get an attack of the butters.

As I said...they're spraying more than a newborn baby boy without a nappy (yes, made that mistake...)

Hence why including Stuart Clark would have been a good friggen idea.

50 up in no time and they're going along at a good one day pace. Sehwag could get out at any moment to a stupid shot but apart from that this is looking like it could get quite ugly. I agree re: Clark though, this is the type of pitch where tight bowling is just about the fielding side's only weapon. The selectors have lost their minds.

But this pitch offers no contest for a Test Match, and will likely end up an extremely high scoring, dead boring draw.
