Australian tour of India

Fllllllllllllllogged.

Wow, Australian cricket is a joke on that performance.

Tell me,

Why is "reverse swing" so dangerouse? I understand what it is and how it works but why is ti more dangerouse than conventional swing?

It's not like the batsman can see the shiny and rough side of the ball as it swings through the air or even out of the bowlers hand. In any case if you realise the ball is reverse swinging (as the Indian's and Pom's seem to have become good at) then you just adjust your shots according to the reverse swing and not the conventional swing. I don't see why everyone is making such a big deal out of it just becuase the Indian's are getting reverse swing in the early overs.

The only thing I can think of is that reverse swing swings differently somehow. Later/more/less?

The other thing is people must remember we have just lost arguable two of the best bowlers the world have ever seen (one in each the spinner's and quick catergories), a world class batsman and keeper and a world class opener. Along with that our opener is coming off a 6 months injury.

We lost one game.....the world is not over for us just yet.

Swings very late, sometimes too late make adjustments, easier said then done.

lol It's so typical that most Australian cricket fans think it's the end of the world after 1 loss. Australia will bounce back, they always do.

exactly one loss in the hardest cricketing conditions in the world and suddenly the sky is falling.

It is the size of the loss that scares the fans more than anything.. ANother problem is that we can't see any bowlers coming through that are amazing like Ishant Sharma.

Question - Why, once we get beaten by swing do our batsmen and bowlers act all surprised (happened in England). We have the worlds best swing bowling coach, most of the players play 20/20 cricket in India and they went early for this test to climatise themselves to local conditions, so why is what happened so much of a shock??? What the hell were these guys doing all this time, watching porn?

LOL at Gilly phoning Tendulkar and explaining himself. haha

I agree why would you bother who cares about Tendulkar he is a wank who lied to get Harbajan off the racial slurs..

I love how the Indian media immediately call Gilchrist a liar....what exactly is he lying about and what incentive would he have to lie? How the hell did Sachin not hear what happened and then miraculously remember that he did hear. Also he is spot on about the 2 boards being pathetic in the situation with the Indians holding the game for ransom and Australia just caving to them like a house of cards.

Exactly, he's made his comments, stick to em, no need to get defensive.

The Australian test team has been exposed as a fragile and vunerable bunch of soft appendages.

The biggest hypocrite of them all is Queensland's very own God squad member Hayden.
Of course Gilly is a people pleaser who wants to sell copy.
Michael Slater's book was a great read. I don't know if Gilly has much to say that would be remotely interesting or entertaining... unless cliches are your go.

Cameron White is just woeful.

He's just a wasted spot in side at the moment. Doesn't score any runs, barely gets a bowl and when he does, gets hammered.
