yeah of course, if thats how it pans out. i mean if hypothetically someone wanted to take barba off our hands, im saying my guess is WB would ship him right off, whether or not we sign boyd. i dont like bandying about the terms 'favourites' and 'bias' and such, but WB has a record of, you might say 'favouring', i might say 'identifying' personality types for his teams, and barbs just doesnt seem to me like one that Benny would line up of his own volition (not that Barba is burning a hole in my fantasy team list... but if the means to a premiership in WBs eyes is Boyd, and if Boyd comes at the long-term or even positional short term expense of Barba, WB has my vote!)

Someone who knows what a capital letter is and where it is to be used ? No problem, will do. They will probably point out that this AP dude sure doesn't know how to admit to being a liar. I had only to name one player from the Broncos who had scored more tries to prove the statement was a lie. What you had intended to infer is that Barba ,when not at the top of his game ,scored more tries than ANYONE at the Broncos and was still so good that he out scored almost all the rest. Well, if you include the reserve forwards, front rowers and other plodders then he out scored most of them but he was soundly beaten in the try scoring department by the players expected to score tries. He scored 10 from 17 games, Corey Oates scored 9 from 8 games from memory, less than half the games required by the superstar Barba and at a vastly superior average as well. Did I mention Darius Boyd scored more too although you claim Barba was better in 2013. At least those two played the same position.

And if he would be playing where he does in SOO and Aussie teams i doubt this argument would be happening (or at the very least significantly toned down).
Where the problem lies is that he will play fullback, and as a fullback we have better options.
I also firmly believe that had Barba been training in the pre-season or even playing 5/8 from round 1 he would have had far better success in the position against the better teams and not just success against the shit teams (one of which was Bennetts .... sorry couldn't help myself :tongue: It even took Locky a full season before he was comfortable in the 6 jersey, Barba has about 8 rounds, and for the most part looked better with each game he played there.

Guys, just on a side note and apology if this posting is in the incorrect discussion thread, BUT, I have it on very good authority that west tigers will be announcing Hook as new head coach within the next 48 to 72 hours. Some good news at least for us all and couldn't happen to a nicer gentleman, and fabulous man manager as well. Still shaking my head we got rid of him for old man Bennett and his little girly boy Daaawius.

Yet in 2013 he scored more tries than Barba and scored more tries than all the Broncos except Hoffman and scored more tries than, what did you say AP about Barba ? That's right, more tries than almost everybody in the competition. He had time to play Origin too and for his country as well. So, he was shit but better than most which by extension and AP logic means that all those other players were shittier....

Doubtless you'd call Darius a girly boy to his face. Still shaking my head that we let that appalling excuse for a coach select Hoffman at 5/8 and misuse the bench every single week. I don't care how nice Hook was and probably would even support that shirt lifter Alan Jones if he was delivering premierships for the Broncos. I've said it before, I would even think Beetle Nash would have a better job as coach. Glad Griffin is landing on his feet because he just may be a good bloke and deserves some good fortune for that reason alone, lousy coach though.
