What does he think about Milford V Barba?

That's a question that has me the most concerned. I suspect he is going to play Milford off the bench and run Barba in the 6.

That to me, would be a little disconcerting ...to say the least.

When has he got the Fullback spot at a club without being the best option? The Dragons and Knights had literally nobody better who could've replaced him, even at his poorest Darius was clearly the best Fullback option at both clubs.

The point I was making is that Des is hardly his biggest advocate.

If anything it was Kevin Moore who made a point of playing him off the bench in 2010 before finding him a spot at fullback despite his obvious flaws.

By the time Des signed with the Bulldogs, Barba had already signed on until 2015 - Des was stuck with him.

Why argue? It's a forum. If you don't like people arguing with a coach's POV, why come here? Surely someone as wise as you understand that's what forums are for? I guess not...

And yes, Barba was shit in 2014. So was Bennett's team for that matter. It doesn't mean either will or would be shit in 2015.

The only gripe I have with Bennett signing Boyd is that we already have enough fullbacks at the club. We don't need him. He is a good player but the difference between him and a Milford or Barba is marginal at best IMO.

Griffin was the coach this year and I saw every single person on here arguing that he should NOT name Hoffman at 5/8. So why should Bennett and Boyd be any different

I was going off his (and Bennetts ) form for the last week years ... He was poor and never lost his place in the team.

And going off his form for the last 2 years is a big reason I don't want him to play fullback for us ... If he had maintained his form from the Dragons years, I may have a different view point
