Barba vs Boyd

We can all have different opinions about who is the better fullback option, but we probably all agree that the concerning issue is whether Bennett can be unbiased with his selections surrounding Boyd

Right now, "Team No" seems to be basing the argument on the "fact" that Boyd had a crap season but Bennett did not drop him despite having better options

Unfortunately, whether or not Bennett had better options is not a matter of fact, it is a matter of opinion

Rather than assume that your opinion is right, and therefore Bennett must be biased, how about flirting with the possibility that Bennett thinks keeping Boyd at fullback is the right call and that your opinions are simply different?

And if you can get that far, how about entertaining the possibility that when your armchair supporter opinion differs from that of a career coach with unprecedented success, that perhaps you're not the one who is right?

Coaches make bizarre calls all the time that we fans cannot get our heads around. It doesn't make them biased, it means they see things differently to us. Sometimes the wacky calls work, and sometimes they don't. That's footy.

I heard only Griffin did that.

Haha, you don't need to concede at all. Your opinion is as valid as mine.

But I'd like to know if you actually believe Bennett is capable of being objective when it comes to Boyd?
And how much more $$$ do you think Boyd is worth than Barba?

I honestly don't know if he can be objective with Boyd.

I think Boyd is worth considerably more than Barba. He is a QLD & Australian rep and won premierships, Barba has done none of that

and you might have a point if he was coming to play wing

Port asked me if he is worth more money than Barba, I responded that he is worth more money than barba because he is a current QLD and Australiam rep. Yes he plays wing there, however that experience etc cannot be over looked, and makes him worth more money

J Hayne played much of his rep on the wing, Joey Johns at Hooker. Representative positions mean little

the difference being when they went back to their clubs, they actually played good footy in their preferred positions ... the same can't be said for Boyd ...

Ok, that's fair enough.

My question about how much Boyd is worth, wasn't that literal though.
I meant how much more is he worth to the Broncos? You have to take the current circumstances, the roster and upcoming players into the equation...

Of course, his rep status will inflate his price (rightly so), but to say he is worth considerably more than a Dally M winner, is at the very least, a stretch...

As a comparison, how much more would Boyd be worth than Milford literally, as opposed to the Broncos?

It's funny how being a rep player means nothing when I point out the entire newcastle team were rep players, but now it is the only thing that matters in determining who is the better player lol.

Haha because they're all close to retirement and their skills have dropped dramatically since their rep days. Holy shit, let's just sign Clinton Schifcofske to play fullback? What do you mean he's not as good as he used to be?
