And I suppose a "source" at this point in time can be as reliable as a homeless drunk as far as the media are concerned.

How did you know about Danny Weidler's source?!???

Is that anything like Mark Gasniers Sauce?

Re: is the master coming home

About my post earlier, I worded it wrong, making it sound like he rejected offers from other clubs,so that he can join the Broncos.

But really it said along the lines of bennett rejecting huge offers from the Broncos to join them in 2012, Don't know if it is still on there (foxsports news) and I have worded it wrong again, that means I'm dumb and can't read for crap, so I apologise

Re: is the master coming home

The thing is, I don't find a Bennett coached sides boring and would rather watch them then the like of Tim Sheens and John Lang coached sides that can play some foul football. At least Bennett you know you're getting a good quality performance.

I'd also much rather watch the Broncos of 2006 over the Broncos of 2009 and 2010.

Although, I don't know if I'd watch them over the 2005 incarnation. Now they were a fun side to watch. Silly at times, but fun.

Re: is the master coming home

I could understand Bennett choosing either the Broncos or Knights. With the Knights he could earn more money, set-up his family for a long time. On the other hand, he would still be living in Sydney the majority of the year, being a very family orientated individual, it wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to be back living in the family house on a full-time basis.

So, I don't know what to think, that's what I love about the bloke.

There's no reason he wouldn't just move the family to Newcastle, is there? I'm sure Tinkler would buy them a house.

I see Newcastle as a long term gig and WB doesn't want that commitment given family reasons.

Yeah that's true, but isn't the extended family also still in Brissy?

Re: is the master coming home

i dont know alot but i really think he's coming back to brisbane.
i think he delayed his decision til after the tinkler deal went through to ensure the knights got the money they needed but he won't be swayed there by it.

but who knows for sure, not i.

Yeah. I can't see Beth, Ben and bubs moving to Newcastle just to be with granddad. Plus with Justin and Katherine disabled and requiring 24/7 care, and having modified their homes in Brisbane and Warwick to accommodate them, I just can't see him wanting to go through the pain of relocating them to Newcastle or Sydney, especially if he's only intending another 3 year stint.

Doesn't mean he won't choose to go to Newcastle, but it'll be a similar arrangement that he has with the Dragons, that he spends the first half of the week at home in Brisbane and goes down towards the end for final preparations and game day.

Re: is the master coming home

Waynes as old as the hills, anyone who hires him knows it's not a long term thing.

Re: is the master coming home

If Bennett wants to bring players with him he can **** off to another club for all i care..

Bennett come alone or don't come.

not necessarily but I think our squad has plenty of talent in our youth already,

Re: is the master coming home

I'd take Stanley before Boyd.

Boyd is a fullback, winger or nothing at all for me. With Hoffman, Yow Yeh and Gagai around, I don't want to see him come in adn take one of their spots.

Stanley on the other hand, could fill one of the centre positions beautifully. Heck, he'd be a handy five eigth option if we're struggling.

Agree with that. Kyle has Cooper and Gasnier ahead of him, but has shown plenty of potential, and is probably much cheaper than Boyd too!

I don't want Wayne to come back, that said I will be excited if he does come back.
