Wow, that's absolutely terrible. Didn't we give him a chance back when he was stuck playing reserve grade? And now he screws us over, even when he was a priority. Hopefully they'll go after Ennis now though.

Mate, priority signing for the Broncos probably means they offered, say $220K or $250K. He got offered $100K more to go to the Bulldogs! He'd be MAD not to take it.

This is going to happen more and more now.

They paid 350K for him!? Jesus, I guess that taking it is fair enough. I don't think he is worth it though...

Also, didn't he say that he never wanted to leave the Gold Coast again or something?

Could be the reason why Ennis has rumoured to put his contract negotiations on hold with the Dogs.. now maybe the Broncos can afford him he will sign.

Ive heard that Ennis has already committed with the bulldogs it will be announced this week.

He said he preferred to live on the coast. But again, money like that for 3 years - more than $1 million - goes a fair way to setting his family up.

I would expect he will sign with the Titans in 3 years time though.

True, but it also costs an assload to live in a good area of sydney

Times are certainly changing, when would we ever let an up and coming prop like him go, but sign a player like Falou?

Disappointed, and a little disgusted. Drop him, Bring Taylor into the fulltime squad.

GRRRR... this will be yet another reason for me to hate tha bulldogs...farkin cant believe we lost him...lol
this just ruined my day

We can't drop him. We are still a good chance of winning the premiership this year - IMO it's between us, Roosters and Melbourne so far. We've beaten the Roosters already, and Melbourne has been kinda struggling lately, so this is the best chance of winning the comp we've had in years IMO. And Hannant would have to be an important part of our team if we were to win this.

I'd say with Israel coming to the club, we were over our quota of Mormons and had to let Hannant go...... [icon_shru

That's ridiculous and I hope the Broncos don't have that mentality at all. I am disappointed he is gone but he still has at least 15 rounds of football in front of him for the Broncos and I am sure he will continue to put his best foot forward. Just because he is off to Belmore next year, there is absolutley no reason to drop him to the Q-Cup. He has been our best forward this year FFS.

Disappointed he has signed with the Dogs but we were always going to suffer a big loss after the signing of Folau and agree with what Ronny said in that he is not irreplaceable (even though I rate him higher than Ronny does [icon_wink )

IMO we should throw a little overs at Taylor because IMO he will be tempted to be coached by Wayne Bennett and may follow him to the Dragons. Despite his below average form it is clear he has massive potential and we need to secure his services.

I agree, Alec. We're halfway through the comp, haven't fielded our best side in any games yet and are still only two points off the lead. I think we're in it up to our eyeballs. icon_thumbs_u

Yea he will probly go back to goldcoast in 3 years and sign with Titans.

I hope we don't drop Hannant. He's an integral member of our forwards and is playing well. We need him out there this season.

And club loyalty? As I've posted before, football is now a professional sport and you can't really blame a young player following BIG money.

And yeah - as a great Taylor fan, it is time for him to really step up - if Bennett is as good a coach of props, and if he gets some decent game time.

Apart from which, I reckon Clinton and Sims will step up and prove their worth.

Jesus we are going to struggle in the engine room next year..... what a joke, i would take benny over folau 365 days of the year...... Bruno has made some bad calls lately.
