I don't think I've ever been impressed by a "big announcement". The really big news is always leaked somewhere first, and someone eventually admits it's true.
Scotty said:The Broncos have just made a very important announcement regarding the future of the club.
The hand dryer in the mens toilets of the Brisbane Broncos leagues club will be replaced after it was knocked down by Tonie Carrolls chin.
Ivan And Audi Sign With The Broncos
THE WOW Brisbane Broncos have engaged in a double celebration today
with the announcement of Audi Centre Brisbane as the new coach
sponsor and re-signing of the head coach, Ivan Henjak, to a two-year
contract extension.
Henjak has taken up a contract extension offered by the Broncos board
before Christmas, and will be in charge of the club until the end of the
2012 season.
And fans will see Henjak closely allied with new platinum sponsor Audi
Centre Brisbane, who will be a major part of the Broncos’ sponsor family
for the next two years.
Henjak’s training gear and team uniform will be branded by the iconic
Audi Centre Brisbane dealership.
The two new deals were announced today at Audi Centre Brisbane’s hub
in Fortitude Valley, with Henjak acknowledging his new contract as ‘a
wonderful opportunity’.
“I am really pleased and honoured to be given another chance to
continue a job we started last season,” said Henjak.
“I am especially thankful of the faith shown me by the board. They stuck
by me through some difficult times last year and I have appreciated that
support.
“We have a young and inexperienced group again this year but that kind
of support will help us in our quest to stay on the top rungs of the NRL.”
Broncos’ chief executive Bruno Cullen welcomed both new
arrangements.
“On behalf of chairman Darryl Somerville and the board I congratulate
Ivan on not only his new appointment, but on his first year as a head
coach,” said Cullen.
“His achievements in that first season made this an easy decision for the
board and we wish him and his young squad ongoing success for the
next three years.
“Like the Broncos and Ivan, I think Audi Centre Brisbane and the
Brisbane Broncos are also a wonderful fit.
“Both brands are benchmarks in their industries and I believe this new
sponsorship - that includes a close alliance with Ivan - will be the start of
a long and comfortable relationship.”
Audi Centre Brisbane dealer principal Greg Willims echoed those
comments.
“Audi Centre Brisbane is extremely proud to be the official car sponsor of
the Brisbane Broncos and start a relationship which will team some of the
world’s most talented rugby league players with some of the world’s
finest luxury cars,” said Willims.
“The Brisbane Broncos are synonymous with class, exceptional
performance and quality, so the club’s ethos perfectly complements the
values of Audi.
“Throughout Australia, Audi is one of the most progressive and rapidly
evolving brands in the premium sector, and in Brisbane especially, a
relationship with the Broncos makes perfect sense.
“It also extends the Audi commitment worldwide to be involved with elite
sporting teams which already include Manchester United, Real Madrid
and the New York Yankees, to name just a few.”

Did you really think it was going to be something big though?
