Pretty sure every team that gets rid of players that are still under contract have to have their original contracts counted towards the cap, even if they aren't there. Like we had to with Barba and Kennedy. They pay players on the cap?

Why don't other team develop their own players. Shit titans got 5 broncos juniors.
I hope Opacic doesn't leave. Why don't other team develop their own players. Shit titans got 5 broncos juniors. I hope wayne know what he is doing. Look at moga case he is sign with knights. Sometimes he play well and sometime shit. But he still in the team. Why don't give opportunity to other players. Sooner or later opacic will also leave the Broncos. I still not like the signing of Jack Bird.
I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing.... from a team that came 8th-12th the 3 years before he came we have finished 2nd, 5th and now top 4 most likely again. I cannot fathom people questioning his position lately, not that you are much. What Bennett is doing, and it seems obvious to me, is giving pride back in to the jersey. Look at the clubs that give talented juniors a free run in to a starting spot (tigers with Moses and brooks anyone?) compared to the sides where they have to bide their time and earn it. If these juniors want to leave for a free pass we have others who can slot in, or go to the market and get an experienced player where you know what you get. You might miss out on the odd solid/great first grader but the club will be in the top 4 year after year because a standard is set that doesn't drop...I know what I'd prefer...Why don't other team develop their own players. I used tigers as an example but you can pick any underperforming team as an example. Titans have nearly as much talent as our squad yet they somehow have lower expectations and standards? The knights wanted Bennett to give the local juniors a go, how's that working out for them? I'm not saying that would happen letting these juniors through, I love seeing them get a shot as much as anyone, but Bennett is telling them "bang the door down on a consistent basis and you'll get your shot because these players in front of you are proven performers". The other successful clubs do it. Ponga will be a star, but Coote brought them a premiership. Curtis Scott is a great young talent at the storm, but chase Blair (name wrong?) helped get them to a gf. It sends a message at training, it sends a message to perform, it sets a standard. If you don't like it as a player fine, just join a club that gives you what you want. You're right about your 2 points btw. We don't have a woods or farah, it is because of this though! The top players abide by these standards as well! Bennett drops you or politely asks you to retire if you don't! The other point, the rep players we have, the reason they are rep players is because they play at a high standard & as I have said repeatedly that is the standard that is being set by doing this.... finally, it's a myth that Bennett doesn't give debutants a chance. Opacic, nikorima, arrow, ofa, fai, Pearson, tpj, sua, isaako have all debuted in the last 3 years but they don't just get a permenant starting spot because they have talent. Ofa, nikorima and opacic are the types of players he seems to like, just like bird is, because they will fight for their spot and if they do that I can bet you they will fight every minute of every game which is what wins a gfI don't disagree with the sentiment here but we are talking about guys being bought in to the club in positions where we have guys chomping at the bit for a chance.
And comparing us to the Tigers makes sense really, though the fundamental differences are huge. Firstly, we don't have a Farah or Woods who have more influence over the side than the coach. Secondly, we have far more rep quality players in our side than they do, so transitioning in kids instead of buying in talent from elsewhere makes a lot of sense.
Not only that, the conundrum is that everyone wants experience in the side but how do players get that experience if they can't get a shot at first grade because their pathway is constantly blocked?
YepIs it true that Arrow has signed with titans?
Tits also chasing Carrigan, according to Fox.
I don't McGuire is a long term option there. He'll probably go back the prop once TPJ, or whoever else, is ready
