Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2020

The Broncos offered Herman $275,000 a season deal, that is hardly an insulting deal the Broncos were offering given the position has been with re-signings and recruitment. If you want to talk about a prop at the Broncos getting screwed over ask Petero. They wanted Herman at the club but you still got to be prepared to have a cut off point and know when not to get into a bidding war.

The deal for Herman at the Knights turned out to be roughly $500,000 a season over 3 years, I don't think our club was in any position to match that without some real changes to the roster.

So hypothetically, if Roberts goes to ESL and Taylor comes to the Broncs, who do the Titans go with? Just target one of our two talented youngsters as they always seem to do in Paix and Boyd?

I'm unsure if we should be throwing our eggs into the Taylor basket.

If he came for a similar price to Jack Bird or something (700-750K or so), I'd take him based on potential and his kicking game. $1M+ is too big a risk though IMO.

Myles Taueli close to signing with the broncos, he'd be perfect off the bench. Big, aggressive and hard running prop. Bit of a bad history but if anything can turn that around it's the broncos organisation and Wayne Bennett.

Brisbane’s roster continues to change for next season.
Having let Adam Blair chase a pay day with the Warriors, fellow forwards Mitchell Dodds and Travis Waddell will also leave the club.
The pair haven’t been offered new deals for 2018.
Former Sharks rookie Myles Taueli has been running around with Redcliffe this season and is poised to receive an NRL lifeline from the Broncos.
Taueli was part of the NSW Origin Pathways Camp last year before being sacked by the Sharks and serving an eight-month sentence for repeat drink-driving offences.

Is our new recruitment strategy to buy a lot of really expensive players and fill in the gaps with bargain buy last chancers with chequered pasts?

What is happening with Adam Blair ... I read someplace that he is torn between loyalty to the Broncos and a big payday because he made a mistake 'chasing the cash' when he signed with the Tigers.

Its a bit Storm like

Hooker depth seems like it could be an issue next year.

It is sortof feeling like we have thrown too much at Milford, Boyd and Bird and are now skimping in other areas.

Boyd hasn't re-signed yet. Better not be for anywhere near a million a season either.
