Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2020

Hooker depth seems like it could be an issue next year.

It is sortof feeling like we have thrown too much at Milford, Boyd and Bird and are now skimping in other areas.

I doubt we go into next year without snagging at least another established hooker.
Anyone know if our 20s hooker is any good?

Boyd hasn't re-signed yet. Better not be for anywhere near a million a season either.

Is it just the end of a long season or is Boyd starting to show the signs of being banged up from a long career in the first grade? Seems to be getting slower, his gait is changing to look like a veteran footy player. Other players who have started to look like this this year are the Morris twins. Once were lightning quick and elusive and now look bang average.

Do you not think its a coincidence that our season went down the shitter as soon as Boyd got injured? He is very important to our setup and should be well paid for his services. You don't get elite fullbacks for 400k.

A lot of that was to do with Korbin and McCullough being injured also to be fair.

McCullough was the reason our season when down the shitter not Boyd.

The Lurker claims the Broncos are going to chase Green hard to bring him to Brisbane for 2019.

we had a reasonably consistent season finishing at 3rd place. If we didn't have Boyd, Milford, Hunt and McC go down for injuries for long periods of time, and had some consistency in our spine instead of chopping and screwing every week. Who knows what could've been of our season. I don't think we would've been better than storm, but definately better than Eels, Cowboys and roosters. I'm excited about 2018 you all should be.

Can't see it happening. He's been at the Cowboys since 2014. He's had the opportunity to build the squad he wants. Which means every player that's there Green wants there. Not only that he's built a bloody good team.

Why would be make life hard on himself by having to do that process again? People will say money but he's going to be paid well regardless staying at NQ.

Also, he's in a powerful position there having delivered the club's first Premiership. No way he's going to give that up to come in under Wayne's shadow still lurking - who will never truly leave the Broncos. They'll put him in some consultant role or wherever where he'll still be trying to have an influence. Why would Green subject himself to that when he's a big boss in NQ and given what he has achieved there. He doesn't need Wayne mentoring him anymore or trying to influence things.

Ignoring that the Broncos are a bigger club than the Cows with more resources, support, and his past ties to the club. Brisbane is objectively a better place to live than Townsville. He also presumably has family still here.

He'll coach until he is in his mid-60s at the Cowboys. He'll become the Wayne Bennett of the Cowboys. Mark my words.

Bennett must have a huge opinion of Lodge's ability to hit the ground running in the NRL.

Good, it shouldn't be a problem then, given he isn't an elite fullback.

More-so, a long-running penchant for paying unders for props.

Must be so many of our key forwards being paid peanuts if they opted against re-signing Blair on money. I.e. Pangai Junior and Sims.
