#BRINGHIMHOME

No chance for a lot of reasons. As I said previously the way the Broncos treated Sam and Ben last year, the recruitment difference has burnt Ben.

Then the fact the Roosters have taken him to Barcelona when they didn’t have to, brought him into the bubble on his 18th and the way they’ve treated him even though he hasn’t played a game.

Since the Broncos shunned Ipswich Sam has gone and now Ethan King at IGS has signed with the Roosters too.

He will extend his deal with Roosters which isn’t up for two more years.

Why can't we even get our own backyard in order?

What is the deal with our hubris? Is it a weird case of faking it til we make it when Bennett’s not here when we have no right to? We hear stories like this too often, like with Inglis.

There seems to be blind indifference from the people that matter when it comes to player treatment

Do you think if we for whatever reason we lose our coach and the club gets restructured we may be in with a chance if its a new regime they are talking to or have the bridges been burnt to far?

my bet is that very few people on this forum know why we severed ties with the Jets.

I'm not sure exactly when we officially severed ties with them ... but our relationship with them started going sour while Bennett was coach and a big part of the reason is that the Jets refused to play ball and play our fringe players where we wanted them; which is obviously their right, but doesn't help us out much.

IIRC it was because the Jets werent playing Funaki, Seve and Alick.

Wow, definitely worth severing ties over 3 blokes that never played for us. Another master stroke...

From memory, i think the Walkers wanted to play the blokes that had won them the grand final so our blokes didnt get much game time and we moved them to clubs they would get game times. Its always going to be an issue to a certain degree when you are dropping young blokes into clubs that already have a strong roster.

I reckon the Walkers are PERFECT for NZ football, adlib is what they should always be doing.

Not too sure, but if I was after a young player and that young player had a dad, uncles and grandparent that had played football to a high level you know you're not putting it over them and you need to do it right- I would have thought.

No Sam is happy now and going to extend.

They cut the Jets end of 2018 and the reasons are simple, the style of football the Jets played was a big factor and the Broncos believed they could get players from the area like Hass and Fifita without the Jets/Ipswich.

Jets didn't refuse to play players, there was one round in 2016 when they didn't play players where the Broncos wanted. Hunt was played at half in 2017.

Does he realise that he's not going to play first grade for the next 7-8 years outside of the occasional game during Origin if he stays at the Roosters?

Lachlan Lam is probably ahead of him as well, he's been quite good in his games this year.

Walkers are not adlib, it's very structured and data driven.

I am willing to bet it won't be 8 years before Sam plays NRL.
