Anyone seen Hayne's comments about the last 5 years being awful? Maybe thats got him nervous.

heres a rumour that has surfaced on the Front Row forums (leagueunlimited.com) from a Storm poster ...

Wallace goes to Storm
Finch to Broncos

according to the poster it is in the Advanced stages of negotiations. i think it is :loool: but since it ties in with the rumour started here on BHQ (about us signing a player whos name begins with F) i thought i'd share and give the rest of you a laugh

That's not accurate. Broncos made an offer at the start of the year in January- Riolo and Hunt had till March and the Broncos withdrew the offer and moved on. He didn't sign with AFL till July.

Broncos knew in March he wasn't staying with them.
The Broncos only set the deadline because they became frustrated and felt they were being lead on, negotiations had started the year before and other contracts were put on hold. You're right though, it should have just read that he knew he was going, not necessarily to AFL. However, July was when it became public, i don't think any of us are naive enough to believe he hadn't been in discussions with the AFL months earlier.

Despite the fact he wasn't staying at the Broncos, the club deserved better from him then the stunt he pulled with the AFL at the gold coast. I'm still not convinced the whole episode wasn't more about him settling scores after believing he was mistreated by the club over the nightclub allegations.

Horrifying if true, although it might finally give some perspective to the Wallace haters

Billy would be ordering the Panodol now just at the thought of running off a Wallace inside pass.

Finch was better than Wallace, but he's pretty washed up now, just like Prince.

Chambers has been re-signed by the Storm, so any wishful thinking there is over.

As for Finch, don't see it happening at all, the Storm can't afford Wallace's salary. That said, I would be all for the move because it would free up the money Wallace is on to spend elsewhere. Ol' Pete has been going okay this year but I still don't think he's going to be 1/2 of a winning premiership team and I'd rather give Hunt a proper go and then have the money freed up to go after a real half.

I doubt Chambers was ever an option. I hope we at least start re-signing some of our young players soon.

While I disagree with the Prince comparison it certainly is a sad indictment of just how crap Wallace is where you start considering Brett Finch as a better player....

No one considers that except for you and the troll that posted this rubbish he made up

That would be the most fucked up deal in the recent history of rugby league and a hall of famer for the broncos .... It would also inspire a fan-led mutiny of the club's administration in which they would be lynched and carried to the nearest insane asylum.

All our problems are over.

Hoffman still eyes No.1 jersey

......

“To be honest it (the wing) is no different to the fullback role as in positional play with the kick return. The coach has given me the licence to roam around a bit and get my hands on the ball, so that’s a bit comforting that he has a bit of faith in me to do that.

“I’ve put the disappointment behind me and now it’s just trying to do what’s best for the team and doing my job on the wing.”

A five-eighth for much of his junior footballing days, Hoffman’s long-term goal is to have a crack at Brisbane’s No.6 jersey although the presence of Scott Prince for at least one more season after 2013 means he might have to put those plans on hold.

Not so fullback, with Hoffman eyeing a return to the back once Norman leaves the Broncos for Parramatta at the end of the year.

..... "

the only way Hoffman doesn't play fullback next year is if we do get Barba.
