After reading what Bird said after signing with the Dragons, i'm so glad he is gone and away from the rest of the team ... I don't even care how much we're covering to make it happen, whatever it is, it's worth it

We will never agree on this. I don't care about attitude, make him sit out if you have to, when a player takes his player option (stupidity of these in the first place have been discussed ad nauseum), make him sit out if you have to, you should not pay a cent of his salary to play for someone else.

This cracked me up. Could just imagine it rocking up to Red Hill being taken into White's office and White saying, 'Welcome to the club, so happy to have you on board. Here is your contract with of course at least one option for next year but many more if you like.'
Hahaha yep can see it.....first theyll put it thru rehab after sustaing injuries when thrown into red hill

Agreed...should have kept him on the sideline for the year....bird wasnt taking us anywhere next year

They won't know what the injury is though, they will assume the spoon is just faking it.

Yes.......

Well it reads ok, not bitter towards him. I have a question about the recruitment due diligence process however.

How is possible that a 4yr 4M contract doesn't require enough homework to make sure your purchase isn't injured or able to deliver? Perhaps even a medical before signing away that much cap space. That's a question I would like answered.

I wonder if the board have missed out on Donut man and going for Collingwood's head of recruiting, he is somehow even worse than White.
Wouldnt be suprised mate

it wasn't that much but even if it was, the vast majority of injuries happened after he signed the contract, so no medical check would have picked them up.
actually the final knee injury was as a result of a 100kg footy player falling onto his leg (i doubt there is much the medical team could have done to prevent the injury)

Yeah but what's in a name? How many back-rowers actually pack in to the back row? Or locks lock the scrum? Do we call them edge forwards and middle forwards? What's a "half back", half way between the forwards and the back? Let's just call them the "organiser" and the 6 the "ball player". The centres aren't in the centre, they're just between the edge and the winger, so are they an inside back and the wing an outside back?

On that, how does the "five-eighth" name work? Starting in the middle, Hooker=1/8, Prop=2/8, Back-row=3/8, Halfback=4/8 (Half), 5/8=5/8, Centre=6/8, Winger=7/8, Fullback=8/8? Poor lock. But let's run with that. Every position is an eighth-fraction (except the lock, which we'll just call the Carrigan), and we'll have just one of each 1/8, 4/8, 5/8 and 8/8 and a left and right 2/8, 3/8, 6/8, 7/8.

For the bench, they'll be a "B" (bench) followed by the fraction. So the #11 we'll refer to as the L3/8, and his/her replacement will be the BL3/8. Unless it's forced through injury, and they're made to play out of position, so "S" Substitute comes in to play, so a player like Glenn who can be an L3/8 or a BL3/8 but also available as an SL3/8 or even a "B" lock so a Barrigan?

Yeah that's easy. We'll do that. Hooker is a stupid name. Anyways, who's up for that Brandon Smith guy, we really need a good 1/8, B1/8, Carrigan, Barrigan, or combination thereof.
My head hurts now......you ****.
