1. Allan
6. Burton
7. Flanagan
9. ??

If they can get that 9 spot right, they have one of the very best young spines in the comp. Couple that with some really good signings in the backs and an already serviceable pack, they are on the way up. Well done Dogs.

If that is the wage he signed for, Broncs really missed a trick here. He was absolutely worth that.
I doubt he ever considered coming back to the club that punted him....good luck to him....give it time when his career is on the skids and then he will be another ex player they bring home

Allan did well behind a very strong pack, that has excelled the past few years. Souths struggled at the start but came good once their pack was in order. Not saying our pack isn't as good or couldn't be better. I believe Isaako's issue is a confidence thing, told all last pre season he was heir to FLB, next thing you know Bird is in line there? Then Nui signed so Titans don't poach him. Reckless.
Add in all his external issues Isaako has had to deal with, he needs to run the ball back hard similar to RTS, Hunt (in his day), then slowly develop his passing game, when he has more confidence at the back.

Or even Turps if we can land B.Smith.

Call me crazy but I actually think burton will eventually be the better player compared to Cleary, Good but of business by the bulldogs with getting him.

According to Barry Toohey (Knights reporter), Blake Green will be appointed captain of the Knights. He also says Mitchell Pearce won't be leaving the club and will sign on for at least another year.

I think there might be some legs to the Mann to Brisbane rumour. If Pearce is staying and Green is captain, with Brailey back healthy and Watson as the utility, that leaves Mann either in the centres or out of the side completely.

It'll be 7 months since Green's ACL injury once the season comes around - so he might miss the first couple of months of the season, but they have several options to cover five-eighth even if Mann leaves. Hoy, Crossland, Watson.

Herbie is in quarantine, I think he will be back training around the 18th, maybe a little after.
Thx

I think Isaako will be alright. He has Boyd to help him full time on a number of fronts, he keeps himself in good physical shape, and with the right mentoring will be a good, if not great fullback.
Walters will be able to see it pretty early if things aren't shaping up. The biggest question is his passing in the back line. So if there is a passing game in there (hindered by siebolds insane coaching of him) perhaps a bit of confidence will bring it out.
One thing we will have to get used to is players making mistakes. Walters will expect his players to roll the dice (but back it up when the inevitable drop ball happens). That he has expectations of Isaako getting first crack suggests to me he has a pass somewhere in there.
I reckon we will see a lot of old school broncos football of the kind Bennet used to love before he fell in love with big forward packs. An agile but fit pack, with passing and offloads.
Isaako and others will be expected to feed off the calamity that can cause.
I think if nothing else this coming season will be exciting. We will probably do a lot of defending, but also if we get a sniff, our opponents will dragged all over in defence (one out hit ups will hopefully be few) as our forwards attack together.
I'm excited to see it. It will be hard when we lose a game from an errant pass. but we may win a few we would be expected to lose too. That is just my hope based on what I'm hearing. Asiata and PJR would have to be big parts of that.

I think if Isaako can run the ball back hard without getting driven back, catch the high ball effectively and constantly sniff around TPJ, Asiata and the forwards for offloads and constantly be pushing up in support he'll be fine.
The ball playing will come over time as his confidence gets better.

Cotric, Flanagan and Allan (reportedly) are for this year. Matt Burton and JAC are for 2022, and they'll also have Luke Thompson with a proper pre-season under his belt.

If they had Burton/JAC this year I'd say they were top 8 material, but I think with just those 3, they'll be sitting 8-11 on the ladder come end of season.
I think they are paying overs for solid players in general. But Burton and JAC signings are quality. Really need a 9 more than anything

If this was even close to true, and pressure from other players who play the same position is causing him stress then I don’t think this sport is for him. He has to catch the ball before he can do anything else.

Is there any truth to K.Hunt training at souths Logan?

Get lost it’s a forum you nazi

**** me that word has been so overused in recent times, it has entirely lost its meaning. Students will be calling their teachers Nazis for demanding attention soon enough.
