Mitchell Pearce didn’t even commit a crimeHow is it inconsistent when the ‘crimes’ committed by the two players in question are vastly different?

Because one was a serious crime involving jail time and one was a stupid moment with a dog....How is it inconsistent when the ‘crimes’ committed by the two players in question are vastly different?
Mitchell Pearce didn’t even commit a crime
Have a lie down...Lodge was signed despite having committed an actual serious crime; Pearce had done no such thing....Bennett was right not signing a bloke who gets off his face then does unspeakable things to poor little defenseless dogs. Look at what he has done since. He backed his judgement on Lodge and its worked out. Pearce never was and never will be the answer for the broncos
Lodge did more than make a serious mistake; way to minimise a serious violent crime.maybe not. but he certainly would have been toxic to team culture. and that's where the difference is.
Pearce hasn't learned from his actions (that reflect negatively on both himself and his club)
Lodge, made a very serious mistake, then worked his ass off for 3 years just to gain a modicum of respect back. he's even now got to the point where he is looked upon as a leader. He paid for his crime and hasn't set a foot out of line since

You have no idea what Pearce would have done had he come here.
What we do know is that Bennett was entirely inconsistent....one player commits a serious violent offence; no probs....one player does something stupid (probably not illegal) with a dog....no he’s toxic to team culture...what a complete joke!
Lodge is now on close to a million a year, and it's rumoured we are trying to pay 1.6m of his pay to offload him.we know exactly what Pearce would have done ... we're watching it unfold. and he would have done it on a million a season compared to the minimum wage that Lodge used to get his life back on track. (which included paying compensation to his victims)
Any actual signing rumors here?

Nah we have no money, so no signings incoming.
plenty of money ... but only wasteful stop gap solutions available, that would likely prevent us having a real go for the superior 2022 market
Stop gap options that won't break the bank account and would add a LOT to this current squad. Also, multiple players already gone anyway plus two more expiring rubbish huge contracts finally going in Milf and Macca.
If getting an Allan, Capewell and Mann are 'stop gaps' and going to prevent us going to market, well it wouldn't surprise me because only an incompetent management would manage to flip Bird, Joffa, Kahu, Boyd and Fifita into Asiata, Copley, Capewell, Mead, Allan and Mann and no change. Like you would have to be totally rubbish at your job to still have no money left over after that.
Yet according to the coach and board, even without Capewell, Allan and Mann and only an upgrade (also apparently massive overs) to Flegler, there is no money left for this season. You can choose not to believe this and I don't care if it is true or not because this is what THEY themselves have said.
I mean, the Titans have apparently managed to flip Boyd, Cartwright, reduced Proctor and Tumpaticklerpatio into Fifita, Foulsmellingodour, Ese'ese and an extension for Kelly AND still apparently have a million left over if C.Smith becomes available.
That said, I don't expect you to ever admit or understand just had bad this club's salary cap has been mismanaged, so we will likely just end up going in circles again.
a) clubs always cry poor publiclly
b) I don't believe any of the players available to get would add much at all to the squad, although i wouldn't rule out Mann yet
c) the Titans having a spare million for either Smith is complete BS, unless the NRL look the other way
d) and i don't expect you to ever move away from the ledge of the doomsday, sky is falling, Armageddon is here run for your lives mentality that has infested this once great forum, making LU look sane in comparison
to be able to know the money is available, all you need to do is know the NRL and be able to do simple maths.

We have to have a top 30 i thought so would be something left to fill those spotsI hope there is but I do not trust our club's management with it.
