Big money if true
Is he staying?
Apparently 4For how many years?
Why?
Any update on Dearden or Coates? No idea, another meeting with them this week.
For how many years?
Had been offered a $600k a year from parra so I doubt he would take $350k to come to QLD700,000 would get him with a 2 year contract (shorter for lower risk)...
I agree it's not a position of need but we need some toughness and winning attitude in the middle and he certainly provides it
Met with them but it's been put to bed, won't happen.
Good player, but does love an injury and suspension. Hasn't played over 20 games in a season since all the way back in 2017.Nathan Brown anyone?
Yeah right. You probably have two fully functioning hamstrings and I bet neither of your ACL's are even ruptured. Not a chance.Just sign me
The player salaries are effectively covered by the NRL though? I get downturn in revenue is bad, but there is no way the clubs won't be spending 100% of their salary cap in looking to cut costs (well, we might have if Paul White was still around, but mercifully he's history).I don't think it will be as common as it was. A lot of clubs had a massive downturn in finances because of Covid. Lots of people lost their jobs.
I think it will be a bit more restrained. Not many of these big contracts have actually provided value for money. The player salaries are effectively covered by the NRL though? Big investment For a guy who just had a knee reconstruction and can’t defend yet. Maybe the titans will fork out another million now. Hopefully he stays and it pays off though.Four at seven hundo a year.
