I don't think Kevvie is really denying it, that sounds like standard PR speak.

What about this for next year:

1. Staggs
2. Oates
3. Farnworth
4. Opacic
5. Coates
6. Dearden
7. Reynolds
8. Haas
9. Turpin
10. Lodge
11. Su'A/Capewell
12. Riki
13. Pangai Jr

14. Paix/Hetherington
15. Bullemor
16. Carrigan
17. Piakura

That is gettable too I reckon. Would we be able to afford Gagai as well?
Surely 11. happening. Surely.

Badel says that we aren't the one driving the Lodge transfer issue this time ... he says that it is "understood" a rival club has contacted Lodge's management to discuss a possible transfer away from us.

he says that we're not even aware of the identity of this rival club

Does no one rate Niu? He seems to have copped a lot of flak because of last season & failing to live up to the ridiculous hype & expectations put on him by the media - something out of his control. I think he’s had a pretty good year & shown a lot of improvement, his defence needs a lot of work, but it’s not an easy position to defend and he’s essentially in his first season. Heck, Staggs can’t even defend and he’s apparently a must keep. I would re-sign Niu over Staggs, much cheaper & more versatile.

I would bet it’s the Warriors and they will no doubt expect Brisbane to carry more than half his wage for the years remaining on his deal. I think Lodge will show improvement as his match fitness returns, he hasn’t played a lot in the last year.

Niu is more suited to fullback. He needs a good year there in ISC to develop his game

Nope. Farnworth is going to fullback. You can bank that. Source: Dobbo.

Develop his game for the Titans?
If he wants to I guess. I don't think he is anywhere near as good as a lot of people think he is, but he might just need to have some time to develop

Hook loves an ex Bronco.
Merrin has just pulled the pin.
I‘m putting two and two together and getting St George.

Titans will focus on Coates now & probably go after Niu next. They must think it makes them look strong to be poaching players from Brisbane when in reality it makes them look lazy & uninspired. Must be nice being Mal, getting paid to coach an Australian side that never actually plays & head the “culture” of a club that does nothing but attempt to poach every off contract player from the team up the road.

a team that is coming off the wooden spoon as well

All this talk about game controlling halves .
DCE is one of the best and it meant nothing until he got TomT back.
With a real talent like that the rest of the side lifts.
It won't matter who we put at 7 until we get an elite player at 1.
We had 3 players on elite money until recently and none of them were players that made the rest better .
Isaako will never be that guy
You’re not wrong but it’s a lot to do with combinations. It’s exactly why our Queensland cup model actually hinders us. Our players don’t know each other, they come up playing for different teams and have to form those combinations again once they’ve moved up to first grade. Plus the players we choose are just not very good.
