KW is publicly saying the forwards are doing a good job yet wants to move Lodge? I don't want to lose any of our forwards to be honest, I like them all although I'd like to see Flegler become more consistent. I hope my fav Kennedy gets used a lot better and for once be used in the first half. I still feel it's poor management to have a fresh prop not used until the 65th minute. That's the time for game changers to come onand hopefully win you the match.
Can someone please explain to me the value of getting rid of Lodge and paying $400k per season to the club that takes him on? If he is on 800k for the next 3 yrs as reported (I'm assuming it's inflated) and we offer to pay 400k/season, that means we are confident of getting a better player for 400k or less.

Only way I'd be okay with letting Lodge go is if he is REALLY on 800k (I doubt it) and the other club is willing to pay 600-650.
Who knows with all the BS the media writes, but I'd guess his real salary is around 600k, at which point you don't find too many better props. My real problem is Flegler, if he's on even close to 600k I'd sell him to any club that was offering at least 400k.
Agreed, I don't know how Flegler managed to get himself 600k based. Props to his manager I guess, although maybe it's not so hard these days given the Broncos management currently.
The only thing I can think of with Lodge is that he is is a bad influence with the playing group and they think it is worth getting a lesser player in, just to get him out, however by all accounts, he has turned his life around. I haven't heard any noise about him disrupting the playing group.

Lodge should be a priority to keep, but only for around 500k. He always puts in, and is a talented player with mongrel.

It’s not our terrible roster management or our inability to work with a salary cap that has turned us into this shamble. It’s the fact that we haven’t had Qld halves that’s been our issue.
FYI a few of the most recent halves that have represented us are
milf, Croft, dearden, hunt, wow what do you know there all Qlders
And with that brain of yours, why stop at the halves? Why not get rid of Hass, Staggs, farmworth etc as these guys are not Qlders

I didn't say our sole problem was that we are sourcing our halves from NSW, YOU insinuated that.
There is a hundred different reasons we are in the situation we are in, part of being at the bottom is looking for reasons why.
I asked a question, and got my answers, i never once said WE ARE LOSING BECAUSE WE USE NSW HALVES.
I just noticed that in the history of our club, we seem to do better when our team is made up of mostly Queenslanders, particularly our playmakers.
Is it the reason we are wooden spooners? Of course not, no one said that.
Does it play a part in our demise? maybe? who knows.

First of all and is this is serious question how old are you, as there is no way in the world that you’d be over the age of 18
Secondly have you even looked at the two NSW halves that we are currently chasing
the 1st is a premiership winning half who can actually take control of a team,
the 2nd is an inform younger half who would run rings around any of our current halves options
Thirdly - who are these amazing Qld halves off contract for 2022?

Could go a way towards getting someone like Cape Kurtwell, Drink Stinkwater or just freeing up funds to land a marquee 6, 7 they’re after for next year
