we have been ... it was reported a few weeks ago that we got in Brett O'Farrell as our wrestling coach. was in the Storm system until he blew the whistle on their dirty wrestling tactics in 2008

surprisingly, the Storm didn't like that and he has become an outcast down there :rofl
Storm using dirty wrestling tactics you say? I need proof of that!

There is quite a bit of positive press coming out about Reynolds' views toward the Broncs, I reckon we might well be in the 10 days (I could be totally wrong) but you would think if there was any way the media could spin it negatively, they would.

I would say Karmichael Hunt was a top level player as was Hodges (He came through our junior system). I would also add Matt Gillett to that list.
They are top level. Fair point. They left a long time ago and no top level spine players since

At present anything that gets my hopes up about the Broncos are immediately ignored as too good to be true. On orders from my therapist i will not contemplate any scenario until such times as it's announced through an official joint communique read out by Kevvie and Anastasia Palaszczuk.

Morris is no super coach but he certainty was doing a good job at Cronulla with the players he had to work with
To me Morris has proven he is a solid coach. He actually developed and brought along good young players to make the 8 and didn't just buy in players to play his predetermined style. I hope he lands a gig somewhere he deserves it. He is not Wayne Bennett class but he is a good first grade coach

I'd argue Ben Hunt was until that fatal drop in 2015. Even after this the Wollongong Broncos still saw fit to pay him as an elite half back.
I would say he is second tier to the elite players in that period. He is certainly not Thurston, Inglis, Cronk, Smith, Slater etc. I guess Parker and Thaiday were in the forwards. Once again they were developed a long time ago.

Did so on a reduced cap and team with a roster/cap even more mismanaged than our own (non performers on high wages i.e. dugan, moylan, fifita, woods all on ober 800k)

I can’t help but think this is all an elaborate kick to the guts orchestrated by Wayne. It’ll drag out for a month or 2 with south’s re-signing him on a reasonable deal.

And like I said I'd argue he's tier one. His game was outstanding until such times as dropped that ball. I don't think he's ever fully recovered from that.

Jeez that would sting mate. Hope not.

I don't know if this is planned at all but it's extremely convenient that right when it seems like Reynolds is on the cusp of making a decision he will be playing against a struggling Cronulla side in Brisbane

He can play his role in beating a struggling Cronulla side, have a look at our facilities and then sign the contract all in the same weekend

So our offer is 800k a season and Sharks have now offered 815k both are 3 year deals, Sharks where offering 700k a year before so maybe we will need to rebid, if we want him.

Sounds like we will if that figure is correct.
As I have said I think we will have to throw in a fourth year to get us over the line.
