I’d be happy enough with him at that price and length. Not sure if he’d accept that offer though.

I’m of the opinion that basically any spine player other than who we currently have is worth a shot.
He currently has zero offers and the majority of teams have their fullback position locked up. Dufty isn't known for being able to play wing or centre so its pretty much fullback or bench utility. If someone is looking at him as a utility then it is hardly going to be a large contract.

Like @Kimlo mentioned, which club is going to throw big fullback money at a non representative player who is not wanted by their current club and has no suitors?

I'm sure he would jump at a 2 year 400k contract which is 800k in the bank (pre tax) vs. worrying if you have a spot next year.

I'm not saying Dufty is an elite talent and doesn't have shortcomings but i believe he is better than what we currently have to offer internally at fullback, at least for the next 2 years. I'd hate for Cobbo to be thrown there too early and **** his development up. Let him play wing and ditch Dufty in 2024 when Cobbo is ready.

It's really neat being on tenterhooks about whether or not your club will let your favourite player go or not! No wait, it sucks 😞
Yes...theres clealry more to this than what we are privy too....

If he was playing shite like the majority of them, you can accept it...

Fact is; its the opposite...

I completely agree, but we seem intent on not giving Asiata the opportunity to play in this role (for some unknown reason).
Given the opportunities he's received this year even when fit and the fact he's on a one year contract (I believe), I'm not confident we see him around next year, but I would like him to stay and be used properly.
...must be injury related. With luck the club will learn what is needed to manage him through games.

You may be right, but you should never underestimate the stupidity or desperation of NRL clubs.

Maybe warriors will move Walsh to 6 and snap up Dufty for fb. Maybe tigers do some dumb tiger thing despite having Laurie, who knows. The Sharks just signed Kennedy and then overpaid for Hynes to partner Moylan 😂

Cowboys signed Chad on 800k.

Then there is always super league.

According to Badel we're now in negotiations with Dufty lol

Badel is like, wow man that was like cool...hmm...Broncs need a fullback...hmm...Dufty played well...OH MY GOSH HE'S OFF CONTRACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...hehehehehehehehehehhehehehe - headline baby!

Based on Hynes and Dufty’s performances against us, I assume Hodgson will have an absolute blinder next weekend.
Every single team has a blinder against Brisbane and makes there players to be better than what they are purely because of how Brisbane plays and defense. Brisbane defense is utterly shit and no matter who gets put in that team, if there defense does not get fixed we will still get hammered by 50 against every team. There defense was fixed in the Roosters match and we all know what was the result.

I’m not a massive fan of lodge but he has been playing very well lately. Seems odd to be offloading the only **** performing consistently (other than Haas)
Not only that, he seems to be one of the few players that would actually bleed for the club. If i'm ranking our current roster on who seems to love being a Bronco, he would be up the top.

We were better in defence against the Roosters but we are good in periods every game. The Roosters were rightly or wrong reffed out of the game during the periods in which we traditionally implode.
