not because they signed $BW
He was one of the best players in the game that season and was an integral part of their premiership win.
Without him, there's doubts as to whether they even win it.

I can't see how Folau get's a contract in the NRL, I really can't
In his day was a high flying winger, 10+ years later he will surely have lost his speed and his pace. That's the danger when you establish yourself as a winger, you really can't play a role anywhere else once you age and once you lose the physical attributes you once had, there are better players who will no doubt accept less money
Sonny was 27/28 in 2013. Folau is 33 next season. He was one of the best players in the game that season and was an integral part of their premiership win.

And SBW was a far more important player, but even that aside, Robinson credits part of the Roosters success since SBW came because of the professionalism and standards he set off the field. Folau is a litigation happy flog. I think he'd be adequate on the field, and an awful distraction off itSonny was 27/28 in 2013. Folau is 33 next season.
SBW’s second stint at the roosters at a similar age was far less successful.

I have no doubt of his ability and unlike others I actually don’t think he’d be much of a distraction for the rest of the team. I actually think many of the younger guys would love having him around. I also think he has a fairly supreme work ethic. Why do people focus so much on age? Especially after Cam Smith..
SBW had also played very little professional sport in that time period in between his first and second stint and hadn't had the benefit of playing a good chunk of Rugby League games prior to joining the Roosters a second time.
Folau, despite being 32, is still in excellent physical condition and anyone that's watched him play in his return to Rugby League can see he's still a very good player and looks like he never gave the sport up 10 years ago.
I think bulldogs would be the best move for both them and TPJ.Badel reckons TPJ is about to get a two and a half year offer (including rest of this season) from the Tigers and the Bulldogs are also interested. He reckons the club will let him go if that's what he wants.

Do some research mate. You look dumb otherwisei notice Staggs is listed as a right centre in team tuesday announcment..?
Thought he was promised the 6 when he returned...?
Im not complaining mind.....Staggs best position is at right centre.
More like; i cant believe a single thing that is quoted from this club to be true...?

Yeah, maybe once we're out of finals contentionhe was promised a shot a 6 next year, not when he returned. Likely what's happening is that they're going to ease him back into the side in a familiar position.
I predict he'll be given a shot at 6 later in the year
Yeah, maybe once we're out of finals contention![]()
Really? Here I was thinking he'd been sat down all this time for being a naughty boy.maybe once he gets a few games into his legs ... he is coming back from a fucking ACL injury
Don’t give the NRL any ideas.Really? Here I was thinking he'd been sat down all this time for being a naughty boy.
Ahhhh, I used to be an optimist when it came to this team as well. At least your glass is half full.Yeah, maybe once we're out of finals contention![]()
with due respect, why not start that in-game training and familiarity this season...there is very little to lose...he was promised a shot a 6 next year, not when he returned. Likely what's happening is that they're going to ease him back into the side in a familiar position.

I’m curious as to what role Croft will play. Will Gamble shift back to 5/8, will he remain the dominate half or take a backseat to Croft? Croft would be better served as a but playing 5/8 but God Gamble/Croft is a slow plodder of a half combo.with due respect, why not start that in-game training and familiarity this season...there is very little to lose...
That keeps Croft away from the team at least...
Personally though, i want him at centre full stop, but apparently thats not the plan.
So play him there.....no..?
