BTW have we started calling Bullemor "The Bull" yet? I think this would be a great catchphrase that he yells at his opponents after barging over them for a try. Maybe he can work out a nice little try celebration too with the horns going. Kind of like Latrell's bunny ears.

You've essentially just proven my point, and agreed with my post.
Tyson Gamble & Billy Walters are NSW Cup & QLD Cup journeymen. Albert Kelly peaked in 2013. We're so desperate for an injection of talent in to the spine that we're trying to makeshift Staggs in to one, who is clearly not a fucking Five-Eighth, nor shown any signs of being a Five-Eighth at any point down the road.
How long do you propose we'll have to wait until someone like Ponga, Grant or Munster become available AND are willing to join a perennial bottom 8 side? The only one of that trio I could see leaving their current club any time soon is Munster, and if he does, it'll be after his current contract ends, when he's turning 31 years old.
By saying you 'want to wait' for the right players, you are signalling your willingness to have several more seasons of mediocrity. I'm not in agreeance with that motto anymore, I want to start winning again. We aren't the Broncos of old, we can't just pluck the best players out of wherever they're playing like the good old days. We're a bottom 8 side, have been for a while, and will be for an even longer while unless we start trying something new.
We've taken the 'safe' or 'conservative' option for far too long. We had the option of signings Moses or Bird, a literal choice of the two, and we chose Bird.. why? Because Moses was considered to be a bit of a loose cannon in attack. We had the option to roll out the red carpet and lock in Sam Walker for whatever money it took to keep him, instead we played it conservatively, which allowed the Roosters to swoop in and steal him from beneath our noses. We had the option to match the Warriors offer on Reece Walsh, but didn't, because that's not a safe bet, is it? Our 'marquee' signings for 2022 so far are Reynolds & Capewell.. Safe, conservative. Arthars, Asiata, Copley, Kelly, Levi, Mead, Te'o.. Seriously, could you assemble a list of more boring players if you even tried?
I'm not specifically saying that we HAVE to sign Luke Brooks, but fucking hell, can we at least try something a bit outside the box?
End of rant, I won't bother commenting anymore. I guess I'm the only one on here seriously bothered by the current state of affairs.
Could be many factors.. he's good mates with Reynolds he could of been in his ear, he started at the broncos and his dad played here in reserves, a move back to qld, cheaper living, coached by kev in origin maybe he just likes the colour maroon.. let's hope its not a money thing and he came here because he wanted too and lets hope he wears his maroons 2015-2020 jerseys under his broncos ones and kills it.

Don't mind it on a smaller deal for 2 years, good solid player that gives everything. Baby steps
