I think Gagai will go back to Newcastle, I don’t think he’s what we are after.

Exactly. I don't know why people are going on about recruiting from school as if it's the only development that matters. Storm take players and develop them into what they need no matter what's the age. Fitzy seems think its only players coming out of school that matter for some odd reason.
Yeah seems we had no trouble finding Walsh, Fifita, Haas, Staggs, Coates etc

It’s more so what goes on when these kids start to turn into adults.

Bellamy definitely knows how to plug a hole in the squad with very little spending. Buys based on potential most of the time. Backs his ability to get the player to their full potential. Obviously, not every coach knows how to do this..

For some reason I think he’d rather forget his days at Newcastle when he carried the team every week.. But in saying that I do believe he was still upset to go and may have said he’d return one day to win a comp..

Mozer watch v PBC.

Probably his quietest game in MM or ALF. Keebra came back from 12 points down twice and won 30-22 but Mozer surprisingly played a small role.

Mairner had a great break and kick ahead. That was great work.

Bryant and Mozer both held up over the line.

Just wait til Dale Finucane gets 6 again'd for all his ruck slowing/wrestling over and over again as soon as he joins someone else. Unless he joins one of the nswrl darlings of course.

Going to guess he stays at Melbourne for "less".

Reynolds and Capewell are a step forward. Jensen and Lee are filling gaps.
Talking about this year's top 30 squad.

We've released so many players early, but we still need to have a finalised roster by August 1 so those released players need to be replaced in the squad

We will most likely just promote some of the development squad blokes.

We’ve already used 36 players this season. I don’t think filling the 30 will be an issue

If your recruiting players out of school your recruiting them based off how they play against kids so its hard to pick them and nail it everytime. Tyson Gamble is a prime example of the type of player storm recruits and why they have tried to lure him down he's done an apprenticeship in qcup and still plenty of improvement in him, Nicho Hynes was at Tyson's level now to long ago.

Here is a left field idea - would you take a subsidised Cory Allan back?

Asiata has also been told he won’t be re-signed.

Going by who I think we keep for next year & depending on development deals, I have our squad for next year already at 29, possibly 30 if the Pereira thing comes to anything.

I haven't completely given up on Corey Allan, but I probably wouldn't sign him back either, unless it's for close to minimum wage.

His ball playing is good, but he severely lacks in pretty much every other facet required to be a genuine NRL fullback.

That's 30/30 by my count, including 2 guys who are likely to be moved on, 4 guys who aren't officially re-signed and 4 guys who aren't officially signed.

* = Likely to be moved on over the off-season
