Except I think the frustration is around how much hype our kids get which starts to generate media attention and then click bait articles about other clubs circling. To be fair he still had a year left on his contract, and was extended before other clubs could provide an offer. Probably also helps that his manager wasn't making statements that they want to "test the market".
- Piakura before his previous contract
- Oates and the dogs back in the day
- Flegler and his hype whenever it came time to re-sign
- Dolphins trying to entice our players to break contract (Oloapu, Mariner, etc.)
- Mozer being the next CS9
- Mariner hype before he re-signed
- Tesi being the next Lockyer and greatest athlete to ever walk the earth
- Dearden being the next Alfie
- Joffa, TPJ, Beale, Copley, etc. just regular first graders getting hyped to the max drawing attention from vulture clubs to generate clicks
