I thought Payne was fine in that respect. I think his performance wasnt great by his standards, but i really think he's not fully fit. He wasnt moving like he usually does and looked a bit slow and sluggish to me. I think he's still got ankle issues.

Not sure what his contract situation is, or anything about him really….
But every time I watch Souffs games, he looks good and looks like he puts in.
Is he a singing worth chasing?! Not saying that, but maybe one to keep an eye on for value.

I’m not sure it would be very easy getting him out of Sydney. It’s a bit of a safe haven for blokes at that bench to reserve grade level cause they can just bounce club to club easily if their current club has no interest in keeping them. After that they then offer there services elsewhere and then if they don’t get any bites it’s off to England.
Regardless though I do like him but I just don’t think we are really that desperate for middle forwards at the minute. If we lose Payne we obviously have to go after new middles but I don’t think that will be in the mould of a Hame Sele.

he may not be fully fit, but he still made 154m. guy is a machine.
I'd probably rest him until he is 100% fit. we'll need him at 100% for the finals
