Gilbert signed a three-year deal with Dolphins.

I'm not surprised the media got that wrong ... he was on the list of players that were free to sign with rival clubs for 2024

Well IMO Captain coach Reynolds faded badly late in the season .
A repeat of that form and the under study has to get a run .
Yes, he’s our biggest concern in 2023. If he fires on all cylinders we win. If not, it’s the 2022 clownshow again

Carrying a few injuries - he never came right after that bodyslam into the ground and then copping several late hits into the ribs from behind. Prior to this he was in electric form.

He'll find form again soon - we need a good backup though as no way we're getting 20+ games out of him this coming year and the one after.

Not so much faded, but had to deal with both Martin and Ezra fading and was left to do it all on his own with busted ribs.

Surely his ribs were healed 12 weeks after he got injured ?
Didn`t dig into the line before passing later in the season , that made a big difference for defences .

If he stop playing when he fractured his ribs, yeah it would have healed. But continuing to play and getting whacks in the ribs every game would have delayed recovery quite a bit.

It was having a clear impact on him as he was more hesitant.

FWIW the Broncos are NOT one of the three clubs said to be interested in David Fifita. The Titans think they're going to keep him - on a pay cut.

Lol good luck Tits. The desperate as **** Phins are gonna give him his million dollars for another 4 years.

Which is why I’m surprised Gamble left, he’d have to know he’s getting more and more games.

Yup, since that Raiders game barring games where we were on top, he has been second guessing himself with his passes and that could have complicated things for us.
In all honesty, Raiders grubs who body slammed him twice in the 2nd half should’ve missed some games. Where the heck is ‘care’ in those slamming NSWRL? Had it been Flegler/Riki/Palasia/Patty who did the body slamming on Raiders, it’s straight 4-6 weeks off. Poor Adam’s the one who copped the pain since then & we suffered although we capitulated from R20 which, is a disgrace.

Rothfield:

YOUNG BRONCO BOUND FOR DOLPHINS

The Dolphins are edging closer to finding a fullback for next year in Broncos and Tongan star Tesi Niu. The Broncos have signed Reece Walsh and extended the contracts of Selwyn Cobbo and Herbie Farnsworth, who all want a crack at No.1. Niu, who has played 32 games for the Broncos, is looking to lock down a regular starting spot at fullback.

Kev saw McHunt mention that Tesi might make a good utility and has moved swiftly to push him out of the club to avoid competition for Billy.

On a completely unrelated note, gee Jordan Riki would make a great utility.
