You have picked up an absolute gem in Troy Thomson! Madge hired him in 2012 at the Bunnies where he spent just under 5 years with us before Mal headhunted him for the Kangaroos. He is a fantastic fella and a helluva high performance manager. Tommo specialises in sports science and physical preparation, so he will leave no stone inturned in making sure the players are at their absolute peak fitness wise. Madge paid a lot of credit to him for the work he did with the 2014 premiership side.

I can’t get this. Ikin’s the CEO of QRL which is essentially whole of QLD RL. Why would someone quit such a position to take up a similar title but at a club land?
Can Ikin take up both roles simultaneously? If he could, isn’t a conflict of interest?

He hasn’t worked at a club for a long time he’s only worked for Mal at Qld and Australia that’s the role he likes it’s hard to get those people away from their niche job that they love.

He’s great, perfect for the Broncos but like I said getting these type of people to give up the role they are currently is hard. He hasn’t been doing the Kangaroos because that’s all he can get- he’s picked that.
