Mmmm - Norman certainly showed “it” in his first game till he was crushed by the hype.

True - but at least we know what he is capable of now

I think he is capable of much more. He just needs to focus on his game, not everyone else's expectations.

Very disappointing. What does it say about our forwards when only 2 of them played well (Thaiday and Tronc) and 1 of them just jumped off a 20 hour flight and a week of no training??

I know it's easy to get upset after a loss but I am just about ready to say the Henjak should get the boot. I know he got us to the preliminary finals last year and credit to him for that but it looks like he has learnt absolutely nothing from his first year as head coach. I hate how he keeps picking outside backs on the bench, and as the Gymp said to me earlier tonight, there is little point picking an outside back on the bench at the best and worst of times, but it is absolutely pointless when we have players like Te'o and Glenn who can cover any injuries to our centres and wingers.

Also, I absolutely hate how he chops and changes the starting line-up just before kickoff. All week we're wondering which 13 players will run on the field, and you would think this is the same at training if Michaels, Beale AND Norman are all named on the bench. FFS Ivan, just pick your best friggen 17 players and stick to it!!!

Then of course there's the fact that he hasn't employed a specialist defensive coach. That's just basic.

If Craig Bellamy comes out of the Storm saga with no blemish against his name, Bruno can get him to write his own cheque as far as I'm concerned.

the worst thing to come out of that game IMO is lockyer. he just does not look up to NRL level anymore. stupid mistakes, bad options, poor execution of pretty much everything.

Lockyer and Hunt were just useless out there tonight.

Could also look past him and get Stephen Kearney for cheaper. Good coach from what I have heard.

You're right, he had a shocker, but at least he's putting in effort unlike many of his team-mates.

Yep I agree with all of this, Ivan seems to have gone a mile backwards this season. Our defense is abysmal and our attack has little to no structure. If we were a disciplined team Wallace getting hurt would not effect us so badly because Lockyer and Hunt would no the role they should each be playing and the forwards would not be running into each others ways or receiving hospital passes. It is all about structure both offensive and defensively and we have none at the moment and that falls solely on the coach. As for what I discussed with Jeb earlier, it pisses me off no end seeing Beale come on as a dummy half throwing wobbly flat balls and not follow the play properly. We have Alex Glenn who has shown that if Macca needs a break he can do his job in an adequate fashion. Glenn and Te'o give the side more than enough utility value having an outside back on the bench achieves nothing but tire our forwards out more and at present they need all the help they can get!

Why has Ivan had Beale on the Bench??? What has he done to deserve that spot. I would rather see Glen in the centres and Teo to the 2nd row with thaiday just to add a bit more size. I want to know what Sims isnt playing for the Broncos (i dont care about Q Cup form because he plays well when playing in a Broncos jersey).

I just cant belive how bad our defence is going, averaging 30+ points a game. How can we have got so so so bad in the space of such a short time

I don't think it's effort. It's pride. He just didn't want to be there tonight.

In saying that, who's to say some of them aren't upset for their QLD mates in Victoria? It's been a hard week, and on top of feeling down about injuries, maybe it just got to them.

To the people saying people are being harsh on Lockyer. Sometimes the truth is harsh.

Can anybody see the sense in have Lui as a starting prop? Yes he played well on debut, but to thrust him right into the starting side for his second game is a bit quick. His stats tonight were appauling making 31m from 4 runs. I know he is a good prospect and i see him as a impact player off the bench but Ivan has better choices for starting prop such as Sims.

Ben Hunt didn't get much of a chance tonight with Lockyer running into first reciever all the time!! Main points of another poor display is soft soft tries to the bulldogs and not getting enough ball to Folau. Also Beale on the bench is a waste of time IMO. It is getting really hard to watch the Broncos at the moment because the football they are playing is rubbish regardless of the result IMO.

Is that all he made tonight? That is pretty bad.

I agree champ Lui strikes me as an impact player and especially at a young age he may mature into a starting prop but at this point bench or nothing IMO.
