Broncos Vs. Sharks - Build Up Thread

Yeah but what happens if we play them in the Sharks game and then play them in the Manly game but due to fatigue they aren't 100% in the Manly game and we lose?

IMO, resting Lockyer and Sammy is killing 2 birds with 1 stone - We'd still be able to beat the Sharks AND they would be fresh for the Manly game.
I understand the gamble, but I don't agree with the stance that we will beat the Sharks regardless, especially after Ricky Stuart's announcement. It's 2 points we can't afford to loose, while Manly away is 2 points we might very well loose even at full strenght.

The Sharks will be tough though, teams have a track record of ALWAYS playing well the weekend after their coach either quits or is sacked mid-season.

Not according to Rocky!

Seriously Shaun have you changed your medication lately or something? Lately you have been making even less sense than ever - and that is saying something! [icon_lol1.

Its origin time, his brain gets overloaded trying to convince him his team isnt shit

Well yeah Thaiday is easily covered, but Folau and Lockyer certainly are not easily covered.
Also why do you suggest we rest Lockyer and Thaiday but not Folau?

Fair enough, was just curious on why.
I think we can afford to rest Thaiday but not Lockyer.

The Sharks really aren't as bad as some of you are making them out to be..

Please....we're acting like the Broncos is an amateur club and Lockyer and Thaiday are park footballers. The Broncos are professional enough not to risk their best players if they fear injury if they back up, and Lockyer and Thaiday will know in themselves if they are right to play. The team Henjack has named is a very good one that covers all the bases. If both players feel they are fit to play and they pass the required medicals they will play. No point arguing over it imo.

It's true we have better players than the Sharks and on form should beat them. The odds will probably reflect that too. What is strange is the contention that we will win easily, I myself see no evidence to suggest that. People get gut feelings about a thing sometimes so maybe that view is correct. If fit, all reps will play as this game is no less important than any other.

Funny thing about the current view of Cronulla is how much more seriously we Bronco fans have come to view the match. A few weeks ago and no one would have given the Sharks a chance playing any other team in the comp. Now ( with a few exceptions ) most consider it a highly dangerous and easily lost encounter. Marvellous what a win and genuine team spirit can achieve, a level of respect almost.

Sharks have had 2 pretty good wins in the past month or so. The win against the Knights was great (who went on to beat the Broncos and narrowly lose to the Titans), and the win against Parramatta minus Hayne was full of character.

They can beat us, no doubt.

Dont forget that Gallen, Barrett and Snowden woulf be trying to impress to be named for Origin 2

I watched them go round last week and tipped the upset with a joker on them. They are playing committed football and their frontrowers in particular are going gangbusters . Gallen had an enormous game last week and will be a handful. The Broncs will struggle to beat them especially if they have a lax attitude going down there. Against Parramatta they should have won by even more with Parra having plenty of good fortune. Scoreline flattered Parra.

As long as we don't wear our blue and yellow uniform, we should be right. :|

Could be a tough one, but it could also be a walkover.

The Sharks are unpredictable like that.

Quite confident in saying the Broncs win this though, Parra didn't put up much of a fight without Hayne.

Broncos by 12.

Well looks like the origin players got through unscathed so they should all backup.

Yep, they all looked like they could play this weekend easy.

Im a bit worried about how some people seem to think that the Sharks will be a walk over. They beat Parra last week minus Hayne but still they showed a lot of heart. Gallen, Douglas, Snowden, Barret will all be playing their hearts out for a spot in the NSW side.

I think the bye came at the wrong time for us. We finally get a bit of consistancy and then we have a week off. Im tipping the Broncos win but by no more then 10.

You never know which sharks team will show up this week, plus i dont really know which Broncos team will show up. The team that beat Storm and Titans or the team that got flogged by Warriors and then through the Knights game away.
