OFFICIAL Bullemor hatches plot with other club and is gone

Exactly... what if Manly are coming in saying we can offer you $450k... do people want us to match that price??
I think Ikin might have the most challenging job out of the brains trust. I don't know how you explain to a player and their Jerry McGuire manager that there is a salary cap. The cap divided by 30. Being a career bench player is nothing to be sneezed at. 300k over 10 years doing something you love is a dream to me.

May be clutching at straws but maybe getting extra game today is a sign he might stay. With his speed he can be such an unique threat in attack, look how they used him today and imagine with some more time next year. carrigan Haas flegler and bullemor is a front rotation that will provide this team for a decade

His speed enables him to accelerate through gaps that other middles could not. This is an attribute very few forwards have and is valuable in vlandy's ball.

To me this sounds like his manager wants more money and they have allowed him to talk to clubs to get a feel for the money out there. The upside being he either finds the money is similar and doesn’t want to look around anymore. If not he finds it is more and he can push for a release but that club needs to give us something or he stays and shuts up.

I’m confused though, he’s contracted, so how can his manager know what offers are out there? I’m playing dumb here because this is supposed to be the rules but we all know they mean nothing.

If (and it is a big if) this is all the case, I’m sick of us playing nice guys still. Hold the kid to his contract and then see if this supposed offers is still actually there when it comes time to putting a contract before him. We have to stop catering to our players’ / agents whims.

Teams can talk to players about contract values whenever they want... what they cannot do is talk about contract values for years they are already under contract (unless the club grant permission to do this) or conspire with a player to break their contract early.

If these stories are coming out then it's likely Broncos have opened up dialogue with Bullemor about extending and his manager is being a cockhead and leaking shit out to the media to try and increase the price.

Yeah and that is why I said if is it all true, there are all sorts of reasons this could all be the case but one thing is for sure, managers are parasites.

I think it's the opposite. Manly contacted the club saying:

"We understand you're in the middle of a roster overhaul at the moment and are looking to reshape, just throwing it out there that we might be keen on Ethan if you were in need of another spot on your list to open up"

Bronco's internally: "look we value Ethan and would like to keep him but we are good on second rowers at the moment, what we really need is a senior FRF and offloading Ethan actually means we won't need to pay any of his salary to play elsewhere. That extra bit of coin will give us an extra kick in recruiting the best possible option to fill that role"

Would anyone be against this if we let Bully go to Manly early in exchange for a subsidised Martin Tapau ?

The only issue with that is it's likely that Bull is currently on bugger all money (this current contract is the first one after his development deal) so releasing him next year probably doesnt free up a whole lot of cap space

Sounds bad when you put it like that, problem is, we have no idea if it's true
He isn't off contract until 2023 so they probably don't see him as a priority at this moment in time.
