CONFIRMED - Adam Blair to Broncos

Bennett attracting the big stars haha

we have to assume that bennett would not have paid over the top for him and in that case i believe blair is a good signing.

i posted earlier i think he found his home at prop and was much better toward the end of the year and in 4N. i think this can work well for us. a prop rotation of mcguire blair gavet and garbutt is quite nice and offers alot in my opinion. much better than having parker in that rotation

with all of these signings we are just going to have to wait and see what bennett can do with them.

More like big plodder than bopper
Dying to hear what we are paying him

It's almost like religion - when all you have to cling to, in the face of a lot of terrible things happening, is pure blind faith and hope that the higher being has a grand plan for you.

If Griffin or Henjak signed Blair there would have been a 100 page thread calling it the worst signing in any sport of all time, yet here we are with some people even saying its a good signing and that "bennett will bring out his best" and "hes due for a great year". These same people even applauded getting rid of Barba because "he hasnt been great for 2 years so he'll never be good again".

So we dropped 2 props, who had been underperforming, and signed a second rower to play prop who has been even worse for even longer. this isnt even up for debate, he has been dreadful since leaving melbourne.

We're going to be proper fucked when Bennett leaves again. We'll have a team with an average age of 33, be filled with nuffies, and be paying overs for them. Just like how he left us the first time, how he left saints, and how he left newcastle.

This is up there with the worst signings of all time given his history. Just **** off again already Bennett.

He definitely overpaid. I know this because he released Kennedy. They are basically the same level of disappointment but WB sees something in Blair I guess. Which is disappointing because it shows how inflexible he is. Could have worked with the disappointing Kennedy but chooses to work with the disappointing Blair instead.

And price Blair cost, add the cost of us covering Kennedy to it. Because that's the real price WB had paid here.

Unless Kennedy was a dressing room cancer this signing is pathetic.

I keep hearing this... that he was good at prop at the end of the year. Let's clear this up right now

BLAIR DID NOT PLAY PROP ONCE IN 2014 FOR WESTS TIGERS

Go back and look at the team lists for every single game. Not once did he play prop. In fact, he started the year as an 80 min lock and ended the year as a 52 min lock as other players overtook him on the pecking order.

blairs been playing prop since mid last season and thats when he started to play well. was excellent in 4N final.

again who knows what price he's getting but if its reasonable then i'm happy.

i didnt want to get rid of barba ftr.

EDIT: lol yeah i checked 3 team lists from later half of the season and none he was listed at prop. who teh eff am i thinking of then. anyway. am wrong.

5 runs for 47 metres and 18 tackles for Blair in the final. Yeah, it's better than Thaiday, but not exactly "finding form".

I'm happy with the signing provided he came cheap, I know he's been a lazy fucker at the Tigers but I'm confident that Bennett will change that and get him back to playing with the talent that I know he's capable of. Did anyone see those flat passes he was throwing at the line in the game against Australia on Saturday? More of that please.

Re: [RUMOUR] Adam Blair to Broncos

He had 2 (Hannant and Kennedy) that shit all over Blair.

I'm can forgive the marginal Boyd over Barba call.

This however is downright fucking Ricky Stuart levels of desparation and dumbness if true.

Kennedy was a pillow this year for us and Hannant for the sort of money he is on, only really turns up to play in his contract year. He coasts for the remained of his contract.

I am a huge Bennett fan and I have had no great problems with any decision so far - until this one

I think this is a mistake but hope to be proven wrong

And just because I think it's a mistake doesn't make it a mistake, it's only my opinion, and it doesn't mean that WB is a senile old fool

Some of you really need to take note of this post

It's written by an adult

I am willing to take the positive approach and waiting to see what Wayne Bennett can do with him.

Me too
Bennett is completely overhauling our rosters because if people weren't aware, they did **** all this year and have done so for the past couple of seasons. No player is safe and everyone is playing for their spots which is a good thing. We have way to many coasters on this team and its about time they got put on notice.
