That would be awesome if true. It would make sense as well with them resigning all the other guys if they feel like he is as good as gone anyway.

Manly have tried to shop Glenn Stewart.to other clubs but apparently he has a heavily back ended deal and no one is stupid enough to take it on, of course there are always the Eels.

Yeah and Karmichael Hunt came out and repeatedly said he wanted to be a Bronco for life ....

Milf also said that about the Raiders earlier this year and look how that's working out, cant trust everything players say and things can change

Now that is definitely looking through biased eyes, Manly are arguable the greatest team of the past decade and that doesn't appear likely to change soon, he could win more premierships there which would give him more recognition, they're a proven team rather than one trying to rebuild back to their glory days, a definite championship team versus a potential one.

TBH I dont see DCE coming to the Broncos. Manly will table a huge offer and he will probobaly except it. He gets to stay at Manly and play with Foran in the halves.

The Manly players were saying that they all agreed to take pay cuts in order to stay together. But that was years ago. Apparently Glenn Stewart has a massively back-ended deal, so that blows that out of the water, in that he may have taken 'less' for the first years of his contract, but it was going to be made up to him in these later years.

I still say, with Brett Stewart only scraping in at the 11th hour to re-sign this year, and Lyon off-contract (as the best centre in the game, & being a goal-kicker, you'd assume $600 - $750k???), they can't afford to upgrade DCE. Their only major loss I can think of is Kite (Rose would not be on much), and their cheaper recruits of the year in Lawrence & Horo have been in such good form that they'll be needing big upgrades too.

The rumour has been that they will re-sign Lyon and Wolfman over the coming weeks.....I think Manly will be doing a re-think on Willams now though.

Lets look at who in the current Manly side is rep material

1. Stewart - NSW
2. Tafoua - Great winger who probably should have played for NSW this year
3. Matai - NZ
4. Lyon - NSW, Aus
5. Williams - NSW i think
6. Foran - NZ player and one of the best young talents
7. DCE - QLD, Aus and probably the hottest talent around
8. Kite - NSW, Aus
9. Ballin - QLD player and probably third best hooker in the game
10.
11. Wotmough - NSW, AUS player and probably one of the best backrowers in the game
12. Stewart - NSW, Aus
13.

They also have King who is injured who has played for NSW.

Add King and only one player has not played for state or country.

Cant see how they could affoard to pay DCE anymore then his is already on.

Now they have the two hottest young playmakers in the game who demand upgraded contracts. How can they afford it and how have they afforded it?

Manly will probably be the next salary cap scandal... but it wont happen for years, cos this is the NRL where we ignore the bleeding obvious and react far too late by giving people a stern talking to and a slap on the hand
