If he can drop 5kg's for next year and work on his handling / work under the high ball, he could be a very VERY good winger.
I think he also looks a lot more comfortable on the right wing. I imagine that is probably his preferred side, but to accommodate for the Hodges and Copley combination/Maranta he probably played on the left. Playing on the right enables him to use his fend, and its probably quite a strong fend given his size. Playing on the left takes away the ability to fend. At Canberra he played mostly on the right. I'd like to see him on the right next year.

I don't know where this obsession with getting weight off players comes from. Sailor was at or over 100kg during his career, so is Tuqiri and I'm pretty sure Folau was at or around 100 during his time with the Broncos. In an age where a good kick return is so important, having a guy at that sort of weight would seem pretty important to get you off to a good start to your set.
Lol tell that to souths! When the weights hampers speed it becomes an issue. I'd pick a fast & weak team over a strong & slow team every day

The last time Vidot's stats were mentioned I'm pretty sure they said he was 112kgs. Last year I don't think his top speed was lacking, but maybe his first few yards of pace and his turning may benefit from 5 or so kegs being removed. The only winger I can think of that's been over 110kg and serviceable is Vatuvei - and it's no surprise they share a lot of strengths & weaknesses.
but they're a strong team. . Strongest in the game. And play to that strength as a game planSouths aren't a slow team
