Yeah I feel so sorry for hindmarsh, no one deserves a premiership more than him!! Hindy was the only reason I wanted parra to win but it was good to see Hayne in tears, harsh but I hate hayne so much.

I thought parra did a lap b4 the storm had finished there speeches and I thought the same thing, so disrespectful but its parra did u expect any better?

Poor Hindy :(
Living legend of the game if anyone deserves a premiership it's him. Such a champion tries harder than anyone else on the field and is a fantastic role model off the field. 59 tackles too, what a champion.

also, correct me if im wrong, but did the eels do a lap of honour WHILE the storm were making their speech?! how **** disrespectful

Not sure it was a lap of honour so much as thanking the main group of Eels fans. I didn't think it was disrespectful.

Wow, I completly forgot about this.

I'm sure it's already been pointed out but Finchy must be loving it.

lol you're all shockers. Couldn't bring myself to cheer for either team. It's Broncos or bust for me.

Melbourne are deserved Premiers, congratulations to them. Bellamy's coaching performance is up there with the the best of them. 4 grand finals in a row - take a bow...

Humble Bellamy calling Eels disrespectful for saying the Storm are grubs. He uses the example that none of their players have been charged with kneeing people in the head when they score tries.

Is this bloke serious? Is he forgetting this?

That's what I though too. I got the impression they were doing it so they could get off the ground asap and leave it so the storm could do their lap of honour

Was it actually illegal when Slater was doing that though?

Yep, agreed. But hey, Storm fans like Queenslander will take anything personally [icon_wink

BTW, interesting that the Storm won the Under 20s on a bad referee decision too. Widdop knocked on in scoring the match winner, but there's no video referee in that grade.

I hope the Storm never whinge about refereeing again. They've got 2 pieces of silverware thanks to referee blunders :P

Did Melbourne get one penalty for lying all over the ruck? That was where the ref let Parramatta down, they were always offside and always in the wrestle for too long....they definitely got the rub of the green.

BUT Parra did not turn up until the 60th minute, they went away from their game plan that got them to the big one. A shame really, would have been good to shut up Bellamy.

Oh, and Slater CCMedal? Give me A BREAK! He outplayed Hayne, but Hoffman, Cronk & Blair were all head and shoulders above Slater. Cor Blimey!

No but it was still dangerous and **** stupid. If there wasn't any rule specified about punching someone in the head until they dropped the ball would that make it ok?

Well i did say correct me if im wrong but whatever. All i remember seeing is smith looking over to where the eels were to thank them, and they werent even there. Seems pretty rude no matter the reason. They couldve waited 2 mins for smith to finish. Imagine if storm did that to broncos. U losers would be writing petitions and shit to the nrl already lol

Yep and I'm sure you wouldn't have any problems with it whatsoever if the Storm did it as well.

Storm were too busy crying their eyes out in 2006 to thank their fans.

Fact is if the Eels had waited then they would've had to go thank their fans while the Storm were doing their lap of honour in front of their 37 fans. And then numbnuts would whinge about that being disrespectful too.

Nah I think it was ok, they were just wanting to thank their fans and there would have been no other time to do it.[/quote:4jm4iczj]

they couldve done it straight after the speech. it wouldve been better to even do it while storm where doing their lap, but for cameron smith to look up to thank them, and them not even being there, just seemed rude. im not saying this coz its the storm, so scotty, suck it up mate, im saying it coz it just seemed plain rude!
