There is no doubt that no other team would have been reamed by the Eels by that much today. Yes not even the Titans. Thank you Broncos, from all the NRL teams!

If that game was played at Suncorp we win hands down.

Sure the season is over but Siebs is on the right track. I think he can get the combinations right with a few positional changes. If we have a full offseason with Segeyaro at 1/2, Macca in the 5/8 jersey, Oates in the 2nd row (where he wants to play) and Darius coming off the bench on as a super-sub I think there will be no stopping in 2020. I agree but my only worry is how easily frustrated he seemed to get towards the back end but that also could be put down to how frustrated he was on our inept showings on the field and was one of the few that took it personally.

In my opinion I’d give it to Glenn for 2 years and then groom Lodge for it.

Not Lodge. Glenn for 2 years and use that time to see who stands up. I'd think someone like Dearden or Fifita. That is, if Fifita doesnt leave so he can actually win a comp.

Out of curiosity who would you have as captain?

I think Glenn still offers something and at his value is one player we need to help balance the books. He would be in my starting back row alongside Fifita and TPJ unless Gillett miraculously finds any semblance of an attacking threat or rediscovers his defensive game. So if you don’t want him as captain you’d be hard press to find someone else unless you wanted to give it to someone like a Lodge which is a bit too much and early for him to be worrying about that. Maybe in 2 years time.

Glenn's a good option, but he shouldn't be in the starting side at full fitness imo. I would have Carrigan starting at 13 next year, so maybe him and Lodge as co-captains? Although it's likely both will be off the field at the same time. Carrigan is probably the smartest bloke in the team and is passionate about the club.

Thought he was saying the right things and doing ok up until the ending.

Felt like that was a bit of a slap in the face for the fans who have continued to turn up and support the club through this absolute debacle. The least he could have done was thank them and told them to stick by the club as it will do what is necessary to compete next season.

Instead he decided to make it about himself and said “worked damn hard all season so I’m not going to apologise” That to me killed anything promising he said in the opening 7 mins. I get he was upset and the journo obviously hit a nerve but deadset how about showing some damn class and compassion.

Please lock up Alex Glenn as well before Kearney the dope gets a hardon and tries to offer him a Blair-like retirement contract.

Hands off Fifita!!! Recruitment have done a great job locing up our best in Darius, Birdy and Jamayne. Now just need to offer parity to 2nd tier player like David and Payne and we are well on the way to another dynasty.

The only difference between those 2 sides out there today was they scored 11 tries and we didnt.
