Moon is a big loss if true, Ennis and Stagg can be replaced.

Stagg has become less useful as Thaiday and Parker can play longer minutes. Even Hannant can if we can keep him.

Your off your scone champ Ennis is a big loss Stagg and Moon can be replaced alot easier than a class hooker.

And your memory is is about as good as a gold fishes if you can't remember that the Broncos looked their best with Marsh at hooker this year.

That had nothing to do with PJ Marsh. Firstly, when Marsh started matches, we played against some horrible defensive sides (like the Cowboys) and secondly we didn't have so many injuries. With Ennis at hooker we look so much more structured and dagerous in attack.

Actually we looked a lot more structured and dangerous in attack earlier in the season then we have in the last 2-3 weeks when the execution in attack has been poor despite one of the matches being against the side sitting right at the bottom of the table without a win after several seasons and having a far worse defence then the Cowboys. PJ Marsh was a large factor for the direction of the side when he was on the field and its only been injuries that have robbed him of the opportunity to continue so.

Yeah, Folau is a fantastic winger and great under the high ball.

The only problem is that's still not worth 1.6 million over four years, and the Broncos will probably play him in the centres, where he is a much worse defender than he is on the wing.

Wingers and centres rotate in attack and defence so much these days it doesn't make much of a difference if his named in the centres and as far as being a worse defender in the centres lol, no worse then Hodges nor enough to worry about. As far as money goes for a genuine tryscorer that we have lacked for many years, his value is well worth it and thats not even considering his age he first played rep football and Dally M Rookie of the year.

I bet if Ennis got pulled up for all the marginal passes he throws from dummy half people wouldn't be singing his praises.

We played two games with marsh at hooker and he hardly dominated the way Ennis has. Marsh is a good hooker but isn't anywhere near the calibre Ennis could be. I stil can't understand hwo you think Moon is a bigger loss than STagg or Ennis.. PLEASE EXPLAIN??

Moon has far greater potential than both Ennis and Stagg combined. Ennis has been good for 3 weeks of his entire time at the Broncos. As for Stagg, as much as I am a fan of his, he offers little in attack, and with alot of our other fowards fitter than they have been in a long time, and with the older brigade gone, he isn't as useful as before. Two years ago he was needed to cover the likes Thorn and co in defense, not anymore.

What the hell is a genuine try scorer? That is no talent. Just because all he did last year was catch the ball and fall over the line most of the time, doesn't just make him any better.

And if you think a centre like him who doesn't get invovled much is worth 400K a season, then Hodges should be on 1 million dollars a season and Lockyer should be on 2.

What? Ennis' "entire" time at the Broncos really isn't a lot. It's been ravaged with injuries. This year he has been pretty much injury free for a long period of time (the longest ever at Brisbane) and he's proving worhty.

Moon has more potential? Hard to compare, but Moon's only position is in the centres and he's yet to really show that so I have no idea how you can say Moon has more potential than Ennis when Ennis has showed way more already.

Ennis has had alot more game time, apparently it's ok for Ennis to be only this good in 3 games in his entire time here because of limited games, yet Moon is suppose to set the world on fire with less games and far far less game time.

Last year Ennis hardly played in his prefered position and thats if he wasn't injured. This season Ennis has been playing hooker full time and has found good. He can only improve from his showing so far this season. As for Moon I woudl love to see him get more of a go but sadly with bennet in charge it seems he has no chance..

I'll happily bump this topic if Moon does leave, because I have no doubt he will come back and hurt us more than Ennis or Stagg could.

Alec, do you know what Israel Folau looks like and have you seen him play?

The kid is incredible. He does not "fall over the line". He is amazingly destructive in attack, creating line breaks from nothing on numerous occasions. He is easily worth $400k a year and it is not even close. I have heard you in the past compare Michaels to Folau. This is madness. The gulf in class and effectiveness between the two players is immeasurable.

I've seen him play. Have you seen Hodges play? So Folau can break the line once a game. Does he really offer anything other than that? Hodges is on way less money, and he offers a lot more - he takes a lot of dummy half runs to take pressure off the forwards, something that Folau wouldn't even think of doing. I mean hell, does Lockyer even get this much money? Does Inglis? Both are vastly superior players. I understand most people here cream their pants over this guy, and I admit he is a great player and is better than Michaels, but there is no way he is worth this much money UNLESS he starts being more Hodges like in attack. I think Cullen really had a brain explosion when he signed Folau...

In what department exactly? Ennis is a hooker, and looking to be a great one at that. (For the moment).

Moon is what? The only game he's impressed anyone in was when he was in the centres. He is a centre and nothing more, so how could he possibly come back to bite us in the arse when we already have Hodges and Folau in the centres next year. Even if Folau moves to the wing, Moon in the centres might be damn good but do you seriously think it would bite us in the arse more to lose a centre (even though we have plenty around) or so lose a good quality hooker (that we have NOT had for a long time). Seriously, think about it. Ennis will prove a far bigger loss.[/quote:33ixnbzd]
Yep i agree, Moon at center against us next year would be no problem to handle really. He is fairly light for he's height and hodges and folau could just mow him down honestly. With us he has potential, but against us next year and beyond he is an easy 90kg puppet hodges or folau to push over the sideline.

Moon is a 6, and whats the bet he goes to the storm and they move Ingliss back to centre.

Yea Moon is a 6 and aparently can play Lock, if he can play lock he might be a replacement for Carrol possibly?

Stagg is not leaving also broncos asked ennis and moon to leave.
