GAME THREE

@brentread_7: James Tamou, grade 2 careless high tackle, 1-2 matches

I wouldn't be surprised if Corey Parker ends his rep career after that performance, you couldn't top that, a man of the series and retaining the trophy, he'll be 34 by Game 1 next year. Now the only thing left for him and Hodgo is to focus on winning a premiership with the Broncos before they retire.

Can't wait for next year, even if there's no Hodges & Parker.

Press conference all class; Smith said not tonight when asked be caused it'd take the focus off the win and Hodges.

Mal spoke about faith and rated it the best defence he's seen from Qld and Smith the best.

1. Inglis - What a game!! Busting tackles, annihilating defenders, running lines. Stunning game, my motm. 10
2. Boyd - was just busy all game. Played some centre, wing and fullback in attack. Some minor errors in positional play but who cares. 8
3. Chambers - a constant menace down the left flank, quality origin player this guy. 9
4. Hodges - some errors in defense but just so good in attack. That pass!! That conversion!! Thanks Hodgo! 8.5
5. Gagai - what a lucky bloke to debut in this game! 7.5
6. Thurston - There he is. What a game he played. Just in everything. How good were those conversions and him giving it to Pearce. My second perfect ten. 10
7. Cronk - Showed how much we missed him. DCE please never grace this jersey again. Such a master controller. 8
8. Scott - led from the front and just got us rolling every run. Great prop's game from the worlds best prop. 9
9. Smith - not his best game but even his average games are better than any other nine in the game. 7.5
10. Myles - Is slowing down and maybe past his best...but not tonight. Niggled constantly and supported Scott well. 8
11. Guerra - is doing the Harrison role well and offers a bit more in attack. 7.5
12. Thaiday - Loved the desperation and purpose in everything he did. 8.5
13. Parker - just so consistent no matter the level. Smashed everything that moved, offloaded at will and dumped on his head without flinching. 9.5

14. Morgan - that's his role!! I loved that pass to Boyd for his try, sublime. 8
15. Papalii - Just kept seeking and destroying Gallen. Great runs too. 8
16. Gillett - Hasn't he flicked a switch of late! Great game again. 8.5
17. Lillyman - Where did that come from? Proved the doubters which very much included me very wrong. Massive impact from the bench. 9

Congrats lads on one of the most complete performances I've ever seen.

Did anyone else think Gould sounded gutted towards the end there?

The tone of his voice, he didn't sound happy.

I did and it's half the reason my house is full of ectoplasm right now.

I still have a six pack left and I have the day off tomorrow! Am heading off to the LU forums!

Such disappointment haha.

Haha love it Super Freak that pic is gold!

ps how many weeks for Tamou? Two deliberate swinging arms? Does he get punished like he should or do we let him off light because the better side won?

Was worried Morgan's selection would be a hindrance in a tight game needing more forwards, so much for that LOL. Laid on one of the classiest try assists of the night.

This demolition job is a realisation of what we tried to do in Game 3, 2011 but our execution was off that night after laying on 24 points early and ending up conceding 24 points.

I bought tickets for the game but I had to give them up because my dad wasn't in any condition to go so I decided to just watch it with him on the tele.

I'm never disappointed when I'm watching it with him. He is a crack up at times. The way he carries on..

For example. Papalii's try.

Lillyman goes close to scoring.

Dad: Oh shit. Who is that?
Me: Jacob Lillyman.
Dad: Jacob Lillyman, who the ****- YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! PAPALII!
Me: You watch, they will check it. (To make sure Parker didn't impede Scott)
Dad: YES! HE AWARDED IT! SUCK ON THAT PEARCE YOU FUCKING WANKER! YOUR FATHER WOULD BE EMBARRASSED!

And about Pearce, I thought this was hilarious. Thurston giving it to Pearce after Chambers scores.

I think Craig Gower was at Suncorp and caused some PTSD in Pearce.

That was pure awesomeness... I still have a hard-on after that display. Viagra has nothing on this team!

Gagai was my biggest worry, but he had a great game. The same can be said of Lillyman who had his best game in maroon colours.

Skipping to Parker, well deserved Wally Lewis medallist and Thurston who put on a clinic and made an art of making Pearce his bitch, ending with the maximum humiliation that was being able to give Hodgo a tribute goal kick in an Origin decider. Justin deserved it, and after his fantastic flick back to Gillett's try, it truly was the cherry on top of the cake.

Smith had all the reason in the world to unload, but remained classy. Part of me wishes he didn't though... but why feed the pigs?

52-6, just wow!
Oh darn... now I have to go clean up again.
