Alf would always put his hands on the player first which was completely legal and he would throw them over his leg. There was no force applied with the leg.

Agreed. I can't believe he stayed on the field as long as he did. Honestly if the refs don't have the stones to use the sin bin when it counts, cut it out of the game. Use it or lose it.
To sin bin a guy with 4 mins to go after the result is assured and getting away with so much **** is just spineless.
