Okay so when i did my count of grubber kicks only, I had the following results. Hunt did better than I thought, but still a lot more kicks found legs than with Milford, which is worrying when Milford is the 'less experienced' kicker.

Also, the couple 1-5m miss kick grubber kicks that ben hunt did that trickled over the sideline were countered in the 'No Legs' section.

Hunt had 12 grubber kicks hit opposition legs (1 of which he regathered). Milford had 7 kicks hit opposition legs (1 of which he regathered). I counted all grubber style kicks (meaning low trajectory and hitting the ground almost immediately) from the video you uploaded.

I would like to know which grubbers you are referring to. Who was the opposition, when was the kick..
I counted the grubbers, and I didn't get 11.

The kicks hit legs immediately and i think all of them were below the knee. Fairly sure they were grubbers and not bombs... If you're finding legs immediately without doing a grubber then there's something seriously wrong with your kicking tactics. Moral of the story is of Hunt's 35 grubber style kicks, 12 of them found legs and 6 went dead in goal. Of Milford's 38 Grubber style kicks, 7 found legs and 1 went dead in goal.

Grubbers into legs: (on closer look I see some were not typical 'grubbers' but they were kicks that would never have elevated above hip height so still low trajectory / longer range grubber style kicks)

Yep right about 0:50, just an absolutely woeful kick. 12:52 definitely hits napa, can both hear it and see the trajectory change, so either way, still a kick in to the legs. 15:14 yep you are correct, i thought it hit Mbye before bouncing up, still a bad kick though. 15:57 I can't quite make it out but if that didn't hit Mcleans legs it is possibly the worst kick of all time.
You really gotta stop with this love obsession with Hunt, if you can't see that he either finds legs or kicks the ball so poorly it travels less than a metre, you 'have your eyes painted on' as the great vossy would say.

Yep didn't realise the 11:59 one and i thought the 16:38 was a knock on. But they got the ball back at least. I'm not saying Milford is the best kicker, but Hunt is meant to be the dominant kicker and more experienced half and judging from your video he is arguably worse than milford. That just isn't good enough at 26...

That other noise you hear is the ball hitting the ground.
It doesn't hit Napa. Watching it frame by frame and zoomed in would confirm that. The same with the McLean one.
Love obsession? No.
But I do believe people should get their facts 100% correct before making any comments regarding any player.

I don't think that based on the video, anyone can argue that the better short kicker of the two is Milford.
More importantly, our halfback doesn't even rate 50/50 in his short kicking efficiency. A decent halfback should in my opinion at least achieve a 4/1 ratio.
I'm quite certain we would find similar or worse results when it comes to 5th tackle decision making and execution.

That's a little unfair tbh, most people don't have the free time to go through countless hours of replays to get all the advanced statistics from all of our players over the last 3 seasons. Opinions are opinions, they don't have to be 100% factual to be valid.

The one thing I'd say is that Milford needs to make sure his outside men know it's on.
