Jharal Yow Yeh injury update thread

LOL. Graham. Top Shelf. 2 things I thought I'd never see together. Ash Graham is, as you point out, a finisher. He's got the talent of a muppet, but JT has trained him so well to be where he needs to be that he scores a ****load of tries.

It flabbergasts me that Graham's name is repeatedly brought up in Origin team selection discussions too. He's Stu Kelly without the speed.
i dont think graham is top shelf, believe me haha.

im saying we need a folau/hopoate, or at least a finisher. how many times did Fail Dropley or any of our other outside backs bomb a near certain try over the last few years? you dont see players like folau mess those up, and you know what? you dont see Ash Graham mess them up either. he might not be a superstar, but he knows where to position himself to be able to get the ball over the line, and gets the ball over the line when he should, and sometimes even when he shouldnt.

as for why his name is brought up for origin, its for that reason alone. boyd in the origin team is basically ONLY there to finish. his job is follow inglis and catch the ball and put it down over the line when inglis sets him up. ash graham does that in his sleep at the cowboys. thats why his name is brought up for origin.

remember, he has been one of the top try scorers for going on 3-4 years in a row now. he was top try scorer in 2011, and came up second i think it was to barba last year.

I heard (watched) Ron Jeremy's a good finisher.
We should chuck him on the wing... and after training he could give Sammy Friday some time tips on making videos

And the saddest part? YY was fast. YY could jump. YY could kick (remembering clearly the kick-one-side-and-duck-around-the-other from against Canberra(?) a few years back). YY could find the line and boy could he finish. He's exactly what we need right now. Not bashing Maranta, but imagine YY outside Hodges with current form?? We would be so ridiculously lethal on that right side!!

I know he's not likely to get back to his best, but damn I hope he gets back to the NRL. If he can take heart from anyone in the league it's Hodges after his achilles. Missing YY's spark BIG TIME. Too cruel

Amen to that!

Agree with this 100% (**** that hurt) Ash Graham is an extension of Thurston at the Cowboys and will be exactly where Thurston needs him most of the time.

Wish we had a Thurston, or rather, a Lockyer. Nothing on the horizon?

I don't believe that rumour, who started that on here? I want to know where they heard it from. Doesn't sound right to me.

He was on the field with the boys during the warm up for the Cowboys match. He tried to run but didn't seem to be able to get out of 3rd gear. It looked really bad. Will be a real shame if he can't come back....I hope he still can.

:(

Really, the only thing that matters is that he can walk without pain.

I remember reading he's sick of talking about it so the official announcement will be when he's either lining up to play or announcing his retirement.
