The theme of transition has continued on the Gold Coast with the shock retirement of cult hero Brad Meyers - and Titans coach John Cartwright believes the club faces a major task ahead in filling his shoes.

Meyers has joined Warriors-bound rake Nathan Friend and former test star Anthony Laffranchi, who is heading to the Super League next season, in an experienced exit queue at Robina.

A builder by trade, Meyers said he simply had to give the game away or risk permanent damage to his wrist.

I have to admit I cheered when he went down after the hair pulling call because Peats hit him. Then when I saw the replay and realised how bad it was, I was one of the first clapping him getting on the medicart and again as they drove off the field.

He has always stood out as a player with a good future in front of him. Hopefully this bad an injury doesn't plateau his career when he gets back.

Nah, Titans are the #1 QLD team right now and they beat the Broncos once so that proves they will always be better. Plus everyone knows Prince doesn't play Origin because the NRL are worried that it would become to one sided with him there.

Prince and the Titans are just being held back by the Man scared that the Broncos will lose all their fans and go broke, Its the same reason the Crushers failed!!!
