I don't think we have many 'top class' options. No one from that upper echelon of managers is going to want to take the job at a club with no money for transfers and two dickhead owners.
I keep hearing Roy Hodgson's name mentioned, which I would be happy with. He's done a fantastic job at Fulham and I reckon he's probably the best we can hope for. That said, I think he wants the England job is Capello leaves after the World Cup. I've also heard Kenny Dalglish being linked with the job, which I also wouldn't mind. Just not sure how he would adjust after having not managed a side for so long.
Other than those two, no one really appeals. I reckon the level we'll be looking at consists of managers like Hughes, Curbishley, Allardyce, etc. Not necessarily those names, but managers at that level. I don't think they have the stuff to succeed at a top club (if you can still call us that).
I wanted Rafa gone, but the whole club is a fucking mess at the moment and I'm struggling to feel any optimism about next season.

not knowing much about the english game and its managers, for some reason Kenny Dalglish came to my head as a good replacement. But then I thought, he was good in the early 90s with Liverpool & Blackburn and then when he returned to management in the late 90s with newcastle, he made all of these strange transfers.... not sure what hes done since.

The owners can't lose if they appoint Dalglish. He is a legend.

Hrmm, to be honest if Rafa goes I hold great worry for LFC. I'm not talking about his ability to manage, I'm talking about a little clause in his contract that he fought tooth and nail for that he has the final say on player sales.
Football wise, LFC would be stupid to let go of the likes of Torres, Gerrard, Masch etc..... financially.... well you just ask the leech owners...

It will be interesting to see how Liverpool go should their start players be sold and they slide into a mid table position more permanantly (or possibly worse) in the coming seasons. It will also be interesting to see how their foreign support goes :P Perhaps we'll see some people make the jump over to Citeh

Well it was rumoured for a while..
Apparently deal is as good as done.. I don't think its the best move, but I'll support him nonehteless... we've gone from a Champions League winner, La Liga winner, FA Cup winner to a Europa League finalist......mmm..
A guy on RAWK said something so true "If someone told me on the night we beat Real Madrid 4-0 that in 14 months time we would have Roy Hodgson as manager and paid Rafa $6m to leave.. I would have laughed".... along those lines.

I can't see Hodgson doing any better than Benitez has. In fact I will be surprised if he does.
