Milford's job is to spot opportunities and act on them. Croft's job is to lead the team around and create the opportunities. As much as we're lacking a platform to work off, we look absolutely clueless at even coming up with a cohesive set of 6. Dearden needs a shot, and Croft should make way, but maybe wait until after the Storm game. It'll potentially be our absolute rock bottom, Tom can come in in round 12 after the dust has settled.
Exactly the reason why Croft can have a rest , it's his job to direct the team. Is he the sole reason for our issues, no but we have no direction in attack.
Seen as we are probably without luke maybe we should use him at 9 for this week.

I agree with this funnily enough. Players should be dropped, especially the useless 6 and 7 but no one in this rubbish side deserves to escape the impending shellacking, so maybe they should keep the team the same, including the coach. Keep them all in, let them experience the true shame that is to come this weekend and then bring in other guys for the slightly easier game the week after.

Remember a guy called Nikorima? I copped so much shit on here when I said that Milford was the problem not him. IMO Nikorima was a far better half. His running game is dangerous and his passing game is good. If we still had him and pissed Milford off we could have him and Dearden in the halves

Milford's contact made that a little harder done than said.

Not disputing that but everyone blamed Nikorima when in my eyes he was just as good if not better and was on 1/5 the money

What happened to Jayden Nikorima? No QLD Cup atm, but if he stops being a douche could he be a FG standard player?

I always liked the idea of him at 5/8 as a running half with an organising half at 7 but we didn't have one of those I guess..

I liked the idea of him at fullback. Equally happy with him at 5/8 or the bench.

Wasn’t he a speed bump in defence though? Plus he couldn’t kick either. I still think Milford has more upside if he could get his crap together and a better coach perhaps.

Is at Dolphins, but always injured. He only played four games last year. I think he's sorting himself out slowly and doing a lot community work and school visits now helping young players learn that coke isn't a good call and bribery doesn't do you any good.

We probably should get him a role at the club teaching the promising juniors that leaving for the Sydney dollars is a bad idea. We've got to have one or two left that the Roosters haven't bought yet.

I honestly can’t believe the regression in Milfords game. He was so damn exciting in 15/16, but the joy has been sucked out of his game completely. I doubt he could beat half the forwards in a foot race nowadays, worst of all I don’t think he cares. He got his money to take of his family, and he’s been lazy ever since. Just one of the biggest disappointments from a top prospect in the modern era imo. I honestly hope he goes somewhere else and thrives, the sooner he’s gone the better for this team though.

I always wonder how things would have panned out for Milford if he took up Melbourne's offer at last contract instead of ours.

He was incredible in 2015 because he brought his skills and game developed from Canberra. That has been completely coached out of him by the Brisbane broncos with no solution in sight. It’s pretty sad for Milford

That may be true but we'd probably have to consider that Milford himself decided to kick back a bit because all his financial needs were covered. Considering he had more money guaranteed than most of us make in a lifetime. I'd have to think his own attitude played a part.

Very true. That was also the doing of broncos hierarchy. The money they paid him you’d think he was a premiership player, state of origin and Australian rep team regular. But at that point in time, they paid him on potential and he didn’t deliver.

He was even better in the first half of the 2016 season and then something happened I think it was against the sharks they targeted him relentlessly, he went into his shell and never recovered. You see it happen often, these stars come through with all the talent in the world after the first couple seasons teams watch tapes on them learn their tendencies and it’s only the mentally tough ones that come out the other end.
Milford’s lost, he never had to think his way through a game, never had to play chess out there setting plays in motion three sets earlier and with a forward pack that’s getting utterly dominated his running game doesn’t have a chance.
