hes been great tonight besides that drop. been defending very well and getting involved in everything in attack hes just not getting much help from the rest of his mates.

Really? That's a surprise. he certainly dont play like one.

Clunky set there from the Bulldogs.

The formation is just too compressed and too flat for the service coming out of dummy half. Marshall-King throws a cut-out to Flanagan who has to pause and he simply hands it off to Dufty and the Knights line is able to adjust accordingly.

Newcastle on the other hand appear to have more running in the middle.

I'd be looking for Biondi-Odo and a replacement for Jackson if I was Barrett at this stage.

Was nice, very stupid by the Bulldogs player, he's always going to step him

Awful defence from the Bulldogs.

Somehow they got stripped for numbers and Naden panics. He tries to sprint 15m but Ponga had easily enough time just to get the pass on.

I'd put that try down to their forwards who have really lifted here and they're bending the Bulldogs back.

Crossland is really hurting the Knights momentum through the middle here. Poor pass selection and it just halts whatever momentum the Knights create through the middle.

The last tackle options have been pretty insipid as well but cynical plays are in vogue.

And just as I write that, Crossland just about puts Thompson over only for Leo to lose it cold. Both teams need to be more creative around the ruck.

Poor chase there from the Bulldogs. The Burton bomb is the only likely option they have so putting pressure on Ponga has to be paramount.

I thought Klemmer was very lucky not to give away a set restart on the last on Dufty but good restraint from the referee all the same.

Imagine opening your showpiece round with this.

And I know, its Dogs fans but seriously, you have to feel for them.. They have churned over their roster and they look hardly any better than previous years if at all.
