Freddy was playing first grade when he was 16 years old out of school and while doing so achieved well in Year 12.

Not being picky, ok I am.

Freddy was 17 & 1/2 years old when he made his debut in first grade.

Sucks that I sound like an angry bastard in this thread but I'm not. I didn't write that piece about Brad Fittler I found it on the facebook page NRL meme's and shared it on my timeline a few weeks back.

To all the idiots that have not watched Rugby League and are saying "Brad Fittler is ****," "He's Overrated," "He's not a King," please shut the **** up. Freddy was playing first grade when he was 16 years old out of school and while doing so achieved well in Year 12. Not only that, he was the Captain of Australia aged 19, played 40 games for Australia, 31 for NSW, A Golden Boot winner, and well o...ver 300 club games... Not to mention the best player of every NSW winning series receives the "Brad Fittler Medal." So ****wits who know nothing about the game, nor have watched Fittler or Lewis or Johns or any of the greats of the game, please shut the **** up. Fittler was King and you should be privileged to be able to witness this man lace up his boots again. Age shall not weary them, Go Freddy!

I call bull. First they say he dropped out of school and then that he was doing well in Year 12? He can't even talk or think anyway... but he's from NSW, so I guess I wouldn't be too surprised if he was one of the brightest academic students there.

some interesting teams. It will be cool to watch some of the unknown players running around .... it wont be so fun to watch Joel Reddy playing for Souths though ... he runs like he is stuck in concrete, the worst possible skill for a 9's player

I'm surprised SKD is in the side. I thought they would've rested him for the WCC.

I'm tipping Albert Kelly to be a standout performer this weekend, the kids got talent and nines should suit him well.

Unfortunatley for Fittler you're not able to have phones turned on or have photographic devices in hospital so we won't be seeing too much of 'Freddie's Pics' or whatever the **** he calls that stupid segment he has.

Is Fitler on a contract just for the Nines or is this a season option?

Hmm, 240 NRL players all in the one (smallish) city for a weekend prior to season kick off. The bulk of the players being young.

The phrase "lock up your daughters" springs to mind.
