Going to put the Kiss of Death on the boys but looking at our draw, I think we can finish Top 2 in our pool if we pull our finger out given that I don't think the Dogs are taking the tournament that seriously and I think we have Parra's measure. There is also not a bad chance for us to progress to the semi finals, as the pool we have to play in the quarters is not overly strong (from Sharks, Knights, Tigers and Titans). At least the tournament will show if Corvo's methods are starting to work and whether we have cut back on our pie eating ability.

We were 5th Favourite to win the tournament on sportsbet this morning but now we are 4th favourite. I had a look at the teams lists. I cant beleive we are not 2nd favourites. Sharks and dragons have named decent sides but IMO they arnt as good as ours.

NZ - $5
Sharks - $8
Dragons - $8
Broncos - $9

The NRL smartphone app just received an update (confirmed for Android not sure about iTunes) to include coverage of the NRL 9's, for those who are interested I believe you can setup a 1 week subscription for $1.99 (or $8.65 per month). Might be handy for those who are really keen to watch some games but don't have Foxtel.

I believe another alternative would be to sign up with the FoxtelPlay free 14-day trial and then just cancel your subscription after this weekend ;).

Do any of the Apple users know if you can AirPlay the game to the TV? Don't really want to watch on a 3.5" screen, otherwise I'll buy it on my Nexus 7 which should be way better but not ideal.

No, airplay is disabled in the NRL app, mate

Before I had foxtel I was able to watch every game on a live stream on the internet so there is that option too.

Yeah, I did that last year. It's not the best quality but it is a cheap alternative to Foxtel.

Normally any video can be sent out. I know people that did this last season with an iPad to Apple TV.
