NRL Player Movement and Rumours 2016

Re: NRL Movements and Rumours - 2016

Now for more credible news...

and well, well, well...

Neil Henry has given the club’s biggest stars permission to negotiate with NRL rivals as at least 15 Titans fight to save their careers.Henry has told co-captain William Zillman and leading trio Josh Hoffman, David Mead and Luke Douglas they are free to leave the club.
The coach is prepared to honour the deals of Zillman, Hoffman and Douglas, who are contracted to the Titans until the end of next season, but has made it clear he will not stand in the way of the big-name trio and Mead, who is currently off contract, if they can secure more lucrative deals in the NRL or overseas.

These are the others under the hammer
The 11 other Titans who are free agents next season are Daniel Mortimer, Cameron Cullen, Lachlan Burr, David Hala, Leva Li, Jeff Lynch, Nathaniel Peteru, Matt Robinson, Ryan Simpkins, Matt Srama and Keiren Mosely

If we want to recruit premiership-winning players, let's go Ryan Tandy. One premiership, another grand final appearance, and obviously his life ban has expired.

Bit hard to recruit him when he died in 2014.

Or are you meaning another player.

It wasn't funny the first time Cowboys fan.

Enough.

Re: NRL Movements and Rumours - 2016

I'm not even going to bother with this Kostjaysn nonsense anymore, it was amusing at first but it's just boring now.

Re: NRL Movements and Rumours - 2016

I'd be interested in picking up Srama and Cullen as back up. I'm very surprised the Titans are happy to let Cullen go but with Elgey, Taylor and...Roberts, I guess they don't need him.

Re: NRL Movements and Rumours - 2016

That is a good move by Henry, those guys aren't going to get the club anywhere and they don't offer much so it's time to move them on. I actually wouldn't mind if we picked Srama up, he could prove to be a very useful depth signing.

Re: NRL Movements and Rumours - 2016

The question is, who's he going to replace them with?

Re: NRL Movements and Rumours - 2016

Henry is an under-rated coach. When Wayne retires would it be too big a call to name Henry his successor or will the job go to Walters or Kearney or a young untested guy like current QLD assistant Anthony Seibold whom has ties to our club?

I reckon it'll be Walters.

Re: NRL Movements and Rumours - 2016

Does anyone think Gould has got in Hook's ear?

Getting rid of Jamie Soward doesn't seem like something Hook would do based on his years at the Broncos. Or maybe he is more willing to make the tough decisions than we thought, and it's easier for him when he isn't friends with the players.

I have to say, some of his decisions this year have surprised me.

I am pretty certain Hook has been given a mandate to push the youth through at the Panthers. They've got Martin and now Cleary to play in the havles plus possibly Moylan. Seems like Gould wants Hook to develop all the great young talent Penrith always has coming through. Getting rid of Soward was probably the right decision given his form and age.

I have no doubt that Gould brought in Griffin to coach as he knew Griffin would be a company man and do what he was told.

In this case though, it's a good move. These young halves look the goods but you'd think they'd be a fair bit cheaper than Soward, at least at this point in their careers. Recruiting players like Merrin & Tamou wouldn't be cheap.

Re: NRL Movements and Rumours - 2016

Well to sign a half of that caliber can only mean one thing, Foran to Brisbane, Norman to clown college.

Re: NRL Movements and Rumours - 2016

Just because I have different opinions to the rest of my fellow Brisbane fans doesn't make me a troll. Freedom of speech is a thing in the 21st century just so you know. I expect nothing but the best from the Broncos every game, maybe why I'm such a harsh marker ok.

Just give it up. We know who you are and where you're from. Why don't you tell everyone here where you live?
