Would happily take Corey Norman back, for the record.. Think he'd be a great halves partner for Milford.

Eels line-up is going to be quite good heading in to 2018 if they don't have to lose anyone else as well..

1. Jarryd Hayne
2. Bevan French
3. Brad Takairangi
4. Michael Jennings
5. Clint Gutherson
6. Corey Norman
7. Mitchell Moses
8. Tim Mannah (c)
9. Kaysa Pritchard
10. Kane Evans
11. Manu Ma'u
12. Beau Scott
13. Nathan Brown

14. Siosaia Vave
15. Kenny Edwards
16. Tepai Moeroa
17. Cameron King

So how will it work out? Will the Tits have to pay a part of the contract?

That's the way it's being reported. So how does it work?

No way, he's got the talent. But he's a pea-heart that is no better in the big games when it actually matters.

Not if he asks for a release. If granted, the contract is torn up.
They need to make teams pay transfer fees, Titans do the hard yards with Hayne only for someone like the eels to pickup with no consequences for Hayne and the Eels. I feel for the Titans, got rid of a good coach to back this **** stain of a human. He is the sort of Christian that gives Christians a terrible name, god this god that Fiji etc, but his actions are so far off it's ridiculous.

Unless the contract is torn up due to breach (disciplinary reasons normally), the player has a contract registered with the NRL, and that's binding. It's done to protect players, so that if they are shoved out the door, their contract $$ are guaranteed. So even if the Titans "release" Hayne from his contract, and another team is not willing to foot the full bill, the Titans have to make up the difference.

Eg, Hayne is on what, $1.2 million? If the Eels only want to pay him minimum (eg, $100k), the Titans have to pay him the remaining $1.1 million. Of course that would be stupid of the Titans, and there would be clubs willing to offer more. So the Titans have some power even in this case - as in, they can release him if he signs with a club that wants to foot half the bill, but they can refuse to release him if clubs only want to pay a minimal amount.

If it's a mutual agreement, I'm sure they can completely cancel it.

"He’s the Vodafone Warriors’ eighth new signing after Tohu Harris (Melbourne), Leivaha Pulu (Gold Coast), Gerard Beale (Cronulla), Adam Blair (Brisbane), Peta Hiku (Warrington), Matiu Love-Henry (Brisbane) and Agnatius Paasi (Gold Coast)."
Warriors are going to have a new near team next year.
Blake Green is a pretty good signing, Foran for all his talent, did **** all and was just a distraction, if Green can help settle the team, they might make the top 8 for a change. I can't predict them to do well though, they just disappoint every year and they still have Kearney as coach.

I think the rule is partially in place to protect other clubs, so a club can't effectively get an extra million dollars in their cap by signing a superstar for minimum wage (or at least way under market value).
