Boyd and Wallace is a pretty good combo. Wallace is a worker, Boyd kills it with the post contact metres.

They're paying so much money to their forwards + Taylor, jesus, no wonder they can't afford any above average players in the 1-6 positions.

Taylor - $1m
James - $700k
Cartwright - $700k
Wallace - $600k
Boyd - $600k
Proctor - $550k
Peats - $500k

On top of these contracts, which are all the reported numbers by relatively reliable news outlets, there's no way guys like Peachey, Latu & Arrow would be on any less than $400-$450k either.

That's conservatively $6m out of the allotted $9.1m salary cap they're using on 10 out of their top 30 players, which means the remaining 20 players must all be on a salary of $150k on average, for them to be salary cap compliant in 2019.

didn't they say Wallace was getting 700k?

So Barba is on his way back. Does his 6 month ban exclude him from training? At this point he can't play this year, so the only reason a club would sign him now is because they want him to have a pre-season with them and need to get the clock ticking ASAP.

What 6 month ban?

No, he can't ;serve it in the Super League'. It was made quite clear that the ban will start once he is contracted to a club.

Christian Chrichton --> Bulldogs

Good signing, he looks like a future gun. Probably confirms that B.Moz will be the twin let go.

Unless I have fallen completely off the sanity chair, doesn't he still have to serve his drug ban if and when he returns to the NRL?

He's already served the ban at St Helens and it was only 12 weeks.

The ban he served in Super League was the ban the NRL issued him so once he comes back, that ban wouldn't apply anymore.

Penrith must be willing to let him walk because the Dogs have major salary cap problems. They would only be able to offer him minimum money

Yeah he looks alright but the panthers just resigned the Sauce and have good wing stocks

Decent pick up for the Warriors, but I didn't think the front row is one area they needed to recruit in.

They have some good front rowers at the club.

What area do they need to recruit in though? You look at their team 1-17 and they're strong across the park. Very good spine, good edge forwards, good middle forwards, 2 of the best try scoring outside backs in the comp, damaging centres.

Ah Mau will bring another experienced head in the middle, which they could use with Mannering being rumoured to retire after this season
